R1S... originally ordered 10/2021, canceled and reinstated after the price increase fiasco... seems they use the "re-ordered" date for the config which kinda sucks.

EDIT: Others have commented that they have a similar original order date but never canceled and are in the same delivery window, so it looks like they are using that original date.

weird. i have the nebulous "2024" estimate without a month (i.e., we might try to deliver your vehicle in 2024). i ordered the Explore Package R1S in March 2021. Changed my order to "Adventure" when they canceled the Explore Package, but it seem to be way back in line despite living ~5 miles from a services center. have ocean coast interior (LA Silver and other standard options beyond interior)., but wondering why i only get "maybe sometime in 2024" estimate.

I'm guessing they have delayed all Canadian East Coast deliveries.

This strikes me as them setting the expansion/growth plans to conservative amid economic uncertainty. It makes sense if they want to weather the potential storm they have to protect their cash reserves to get them to the other side if people stop buying premium electric trucks/SUVs for a while.

I'm disappointed but I get it.

I'm one of the folks in an unfortunate location (Nebraska) that Rivian has decided to de-prioritize deliveries (even though we're only 190 miles from the Kansas City Service Center) and did not get a delivery estimate. I have family who lives in Illinois (about 70 miles from Normal), so I went ahead and changed my delivery address to their residence in the hopes that with the January update I'll now get a delivery estimate. I don't see Nebraska getting a service center any time s00n ...

Same, but for the ATL service center. I used the service center address, which I hope is fine. I'm kicking myself for not doing this to begin with.

Clearly prioritizing more unit production (dual motors in 2024) and post price increase orders. I'm sure going with the silver paint I like (for free) is not helping.

So, I have a lot of issues with what is going on right now. My biggest one is that if they cannot deliver enough vehicles to supply their earliest orders (I'm 2/3/19), and they are seriously cutting back the choice for colors, I don't see how they are going to survive. With this vehicle that is a giant issue. This car is all software which we have no control over. I imagine without Rivian as a company, this car is a lawn ornament.

They made serious bank on their IPO and immediately raised prices, then started putting off deliveries. I have always been excited about the R1S but I'm not sure they are going to make it.

I am a bit disappointed. Particular because planning for couple of ski trips in December and a long drive during Christmas. Also, have to wait a year for the tax credit.

Even though the estimate is for Jan 2023, just got an email that my 8-step is now open! Going to talk to my guide tomorrow.

PREORDERED 2018 bought RIVIAN STOCK pre IPO for over $ 10K now worth $4.4K and shafted. Yes I am bitter. Why ? lack of communication, random deliveries to people with 2022 reservations, eliminating options, charging more for other options, 6 years waiting, no service center in NJ .... I can keep going. I want the F'king truck! Stop the bull crap RIVIAN. You have a great product but whomever is making these bad decisions in your organization should be fired on the spot. You are not communicating to your long standing customers. Chevy, Ford and TESLA do this well. WAKE UP if you want to be a major player in the EV industry market.

I am right there with you. I think a lot of this is foolishly premeditated. I have 0 respect for the management of this company. I did not order the stock because I had already lost any trust in these people to be honest before the offer. Boy was I glad I didn't. The price rise after the IPO made it clear what they were up to. I wish someone would start a class action so we could actually find out how bad they have been. I just got bumped and told that my Canyon Red would no longer be built with Forest interior. This is less than a week after Cavanero (or whatever his name is) said that Black interiors, Sept. - Oct, Forest interiors - November, Ocean - December. I was thinking that would have been good info to know. Then, "we're excited to let you know in order to increase production efficiency you have to choose another package and you will need to be bumped to Jan - Feb.
