No QR code for Alexa / Amazon Sign-in

Upon delivery - was trying to eet up Alexa / Amazon sign-in. Delivery “coordinator” or representative was texting someone and we soft reset / hard rest during delivery. Didn’t solve. I finally logged a ticket and it’s now been 10 days since delivery - set up appointment for service for other issues + this one.

Curious if anyone else has experienced this? Tried LTE, Wi-Fi, updated software to latest release, Soft Reset, hard Reset, and still - no QR code to sign in against.

For me, the Alexa "Sign In" and "Try Alexa" buttons are grayed out... won't respond to a touch. I've also tried soft/hard resets but no success... have also logged a service ticket but no response yet. Please post if you get a solution!

I’ve had tech support on it. I’ve had two remote service guys look at it. I’ve done every type of reset (software, hard, manual) and a software upgrade. No one has been able to help me solve this.

I’ve had tech support on it. I’ve had two remote service guys look at it. I’ve done every type of reset (software, hard, manual) and a software upgrade. No one has been able to help me solve this.
My R1T recently came back from Service Center for a different problem, but they fixed this issue for me while there. It required replacement of a multi-function control module that had been "corrupted".

Yeah. I was afraid it might be something like that. I had a mobile service guy over yesterday. I had 5 things to fix. He fixed one. Explained how another is a feature not a bug. And told me I need to book time at a service center for the other items. That being said, the tool racks and organizers in the service trucks are pretty dope!

I shared this solution on my service visit and was told that they are intended to replace the corrupt item in the control module but the tool to do so was only in the mobile service truck which will be out for 2-3 weeks and when the tool is back at the service center they will reschedule to repair / fix this.

with that said - I haven’t used Alexa locally at all - but is the online version any better?

I'm glad to now have mine working properly, but do not yet see much useful benefit while in the R1T. I'm hoping continued software upgrades improve the functionality. Admittedly, I'm not much of an Alexa user before getting the R1T.

oh really? Mines still busted but I was hoping that getting it fixed will make it easier to do things like tell Alexa to map to certain places or play my favorite podcasts
