Porsche has released preliminary prototype specs and first look photos. Software issues have delayed its launch until 2024.

Macan EV Prototype Specs:
- 100 kWh battery
- Up to 603 hp and 738 lb-ft torque
- 800V, 270kW fast charging
- 314 mile range
- rear electronic locking differential
- rear wheel steering
- sharper dynamics than the Taycan
- build on new PPE (Premium Platform Electric) EV platform

Thanks for the post! I'm somewhat interested in the Macan EV.

I think that 314 mile range was a typo. The article you linked states the range has not been released but that they anticipate it to be at least 300 miles. That's no guarantee though.

If the Macan can deliver > 300 mile range and not require a multi-year wait list, I'll probably buy it.

I think we're getting the hybrid Cayenne if Rivian doesn't live up to my current delivery estimate (Jan/Feb 23). An e-Macan would be nice too.

The Audi will be ready for trade in 2024 so this is a contender as the Macan and SQ5 sportback I have are basically the same car.

Our '19 Macan is going away when we get our R1T (hopefully in a few weeks), but we'd also buy an EV Macan. Fantastic car and I'm sure Porsche will make it even better as an EV. Also waiting on the EV Cayman/Boxter.

These specs will be expensive....

Porsche has never been cheap. Just wait until someone adds things like deviated stitching or the Porsche crest embroidered in the headrest.
