Was good seeing some of you yesterday. Was funny because on my way home after the meet up I saw my neighborhood cocaine white R1T. Hope to join y’all soon, noticed my 8th step is preparing vehicle. So I assume it’s on its way to the KC service center most likely.

Also looks like Karl Chevy just took on a black R1T w/ 20’s as trade, per a post from one of their salesmen on FB. Don’t think it’s listed yet. Selling for $99k.

Good reminder why I spend very little time on fb. Mostly uninformed people trying to get others similarly situated to become their syncophants. Some of the comments are almost funny - I'd love to see one that is scathing, funny and factually accurate.

Ha! I just read that thread maybe 5 minutes ago. Interesting updates. And I'll laugh my butt off if my truck gobbles when it locks or unlocks on Thanksgiving day.

My R1T was delivered today, pretty excited. Gotta set up all the bells in whistles and get the wife setup.

Question for you guys, Did anyone else trade in a vehicle with Rivian?

If you did, did you have to submit a notice of sale through the Iowa DOT?

I don't think you need anything. Just take the plates from your old vehicle down to the county treasurer's office and tell them you've sold the vehicle. They'll issue you a refund (by mail) for the unused portion of the registration fees. Speaking from experience, I was there this morning doing exactly that.

On a side note, anybody else's heat abysmal at times, even on HI? I have to turn on and off frequently and change between auto and not auto to get it to turn hot.

Haven't had any issues with heat. It's actually usually too hot at times. I would always keep my F150 at 72 Auto. In the R1T that tends to be too warm and I end up at 68.

When mine finally warms up it starts blowing cooler air. I'll have to have a chat with service or wait till after the next update to see what happens.

I've also been stumped by the HVAC at times. For example, I have the temp set to 68 and it is 35 outside, why does it appear as though the AC is running? Turning it up to 70+ sort of makes it switch to display the heat icons, but it will get warmer than I need it to be. And sometimes it shows the snowflake icon in the climate controls, as if the air is on, but what is coming out of the vent feels a bit lukewarm. Just seems odd.
