Has anyone heard anything more about whether the wipers, washer nozzles or especially, the windshield is heated in the area where the wipers “park”?

Without heat from an engine escaping at the cowl, I notice on my Tesla S how important this feature is (especially in the northeast).

Might be something worth hitting up CS to ask. Though sometimes their answers aren't the most informed, and also expect to hear a "more details later" statement.

I asked about this sometime ago...one of my favorite things about about the Discovery Sport is the heated windshield - love it in winter with a remote start - no scraping! The response from Rivian was as vague as expected:

We have developed many features of the vehicle with the harsh elements in mind. We can't wait to share more information about the climate control features soon.

That was November...continue to hope for some details ‘soon.’

Our Tesla struggles in snow/freezing rain with regards to visibility through front windshield. We have heating elements in the front glass of our sprinter and wish rivian would add this feature along with some heating elements for the front headlights lol.

Rivian has this. I don’t know how well they work.

Thanks for the photo. This element only heats the window where the wiper blade rests. I’m referring to thin wires that run the entire area of the front windshield. The only other cars I’ve seen them on are Range/Land Rovers as an option. Now that I’ve experienced it, I can’t go back…

My 1990 Range Rover had a heated front windshield and it was awesome, even at 20 years old. I wish the R1T/S had it, the EDV does.

If the EDV has it… come on Rivian! Give the Riviots what we want! There are dozens of us! Dozens! (AD reference).

Yeah, I meant that directed at the OP. I haven’t ever drive a vehicle with the whole glass heated, but always assumed it would be great. It’s not super common though ?.

I thought it was kind of gimmicky. Until this:

I had higher hopes for this too. But frozen icicle wipers that were still frozen 100 miles later left me less than impressed. Definitely ineffective in freezing conditions unless I missed a button?
Did you have the front defrost on? Might be tied to that and not active otherwise.

You may have done this but be sure to press defrost not defog, it’s two presses of the button it turns from blue to red and it’s intense.
