He got out, rear window was busted due to chain snapping on 1st recovery attempted.

Ended up needing a tow truck and boom to get him free....

They got it out but took a CAT with a boom and a tow truck with 10k lb. winch.

He only got the vehicle a week ago. Well at least he learnt the limits and not to go into deep mud.

Did owner say how this happened? Might have missed in quick thread read. Some are suggesting testing it’s limits but I wonder if driver just got somewhere they didn’t know would be that soft or thinly iced over.

My off-roading skilz are probably capable of leveraging 80% (probably less) of what the R1 can do and I’m happy to keep it that way. It will take me plenty of places I wouldn’t have gone without it. I have zero desire to take it near its limits and have an “Oops! Sorry 100k vehicle. I guess you weren’t worthy of my abilities.” experience.
