Wow! Does this mean you no longer need pucks?

I live 50’ from salt water. 304 will rust. I need 316.@EV Sportline Good morning, team! Just curious, since the plate and bracket hardware are not assembled and painted as an assembly, what material are these nuts, bolts and screws made out of - and what prevents them from rusting? I've used blacked steel Allen head bolts before and they rust, posthaste.
Edit: Added a picture of an example of these that will form rust in hours, if left out in the weather. Even the listing Q&A confirms these will rust. So, are you guys using Stainless or other non corroding hardware?

Here is an example of Black Stainless Steel, with black oxide finish - I assume the engineers went with SS 304 fasteners, or something similar that won't corrode?

Many thanks for all that you do for the Rivian Nation!
The parts depicted are not (yet) the sliders, these are the running boards (side rails), and as such not meant to jack up the vehicle to begin with, so the fact that, in a pinch, you can, although probably not recommended/ warrantied, is good to see.How about some pictures/video of the vehicle being lifted from the slider rail (including ends at fr/rr) instead of the main?
@EV Sportline Will the cutting templates for the Rivian plates also apply to the rock sliders version?Gang, thanks for all the feedback - yes, we digest everyone's input, after all we're making products for YOU! Very much appreciatedRivian Nation is the best! The product and tread plate(s) will be awesome, thanks!
BTW, this is another view of the slotted plastic and how our brackets pass through - I posted this earlier too, but 34 pages is a lot to sift through!

Only if you want to leave the trim plates on. Otherwise, no, you don't.Hi
looking back at one of the posts, are we going to have to cut/modify the plastic trim to install these?
Guess would be good to see what it looks like with or without trim piecesOnly if you want to leave the trim plates on. Otherwise, no, you don't.

Quoted for posterity.I just want to say "thank you" to EVSportline for their patience and quick positive responses. I would have told you all to quit your whining. Either you want them or you don't. They are offering several accessories for the R1T that barely started production a year ago and they are cranking them out quickly, not just a running board. And Oh, My! I have never heard such whiney people. You are worse than preteens. What difference does it make what 'design' is in the step?? I just want to be able to easily get in and out of my truck. I am glad to hear how quickly EVSportline is having them quality made and tested.
I'm sure many of you are engineers. Does your company take less than a month from thought to sale? No! I give EVSportline tons of credit. Now, all of you who chose to drop your order, they are being kind and putting your order back in que. While I then have to wait until you get your little slots. Guys, grow up. Yes, give constructive criticism, don't whine if you don't get what you don't want.
Lovely!Gents, the hardware is properly spec'd - those details have not been overlooked -
Sorry I've been quiet today, working hard on pushing through the pipe!
....a peak at parts for you!
