Haven't actually picked them up or paid yet. Service center doesn't stock them so they had to order them in. Supposed to come in Wednesday but I likely can't make it to the SC until next Saturday. Will post a copy of my invoice once I do so.

Wow...now that's nearly as much as the running boards themselves. Aren't we glad Rivian isn't making and selling them?

Propped up my truck in off road mode finally to look. Easier to see what needs to be removed.

Anxious me wants to know, if one breaks the underpanels (sounds like the clipped ones are most at risk), how much is a replacement panel? How easy to order a new one?

Also, what bolt pattern is that to remove the panels?

We've pulled ours off dozens of times, stepped on them accidentally, dropped stuff on them...they should not break tabs easy!

I've owned businesses big and small. A decade ago I opened a performance oriented auto service shop. Which also had a DIY rental auto repair business attached. But that's another story. One of my biggest frustrations EVER OF ANY BUSINESS I'VE EVER BEEN INVOLVED IN is when someone would bitch about the $120 we'd charge them for an hour of diagnostic time even when it took 5 minutes. Yeah it took 5 minutes because I employed the most badass master tech in the area.....spent $10,000s on equipment, infrastructure & personnel to make that happen. Same concept here and if it's $680 doesn't seem that big a deal.

At this point, I can’t imagine these will ship by end of the month, let alone be delivered. @EV Sportline, thoughts? I just care about the running boards, not sliders.

Removing panels : The 4 corner panels are not bad to pull off...couple bolts and off the come. The 2 center plastic panels are held in with clips & double sided tape and needs pulled off - it's very doable, but sounds worse than it is and it takes some effort to yank it off.

You need to pull them off to install the running boards. However, it's optional to put them back on. You can leave them off, it's not a big deal, especially with the running board serving as protection. The covers are just thin plastic, there is no real protection here - the covers have nothing to do with the RUS. To put the plastic covers back on, you'll need to do some minor trimming to make clearance for our running board brackets. We include a template & instructions. Our install video should be up next week, you'll see it in detail.
