Has anyone found any snow tires for the stock 21" rims that work w/ the RIT? After 3-1/2 yrs, my R1T max pack battery (but dual motor?!) should be delivered in April/May... Would love to maximize my range w/ the 21" rims; however, living in Idaho... snow tires are a must. I've used blizzaks for years on my pickup trucks and SUV's w/ great results.

No. Only exists for 20 and 22". Some people are buy cheap used 20" wheels for a winter setup

What sort of difference in range do you see between the 20" and 21" set up?

Thanks,
m
It is certainly not a direct comparison due to the average ambient temperature driving with each, but i think it was a bout 1.9 with the 21's vs 1.5 with the 20's. 21's driven from august to december, 20's for the past month.

This is the number 1 reason I did the 22" wheels (instead of that I like they way they look) - little to no aftermarket tire options on the 21" rims.

I like the look of the 20" AT's best... just have a 360 mile commute to our mtn house... so range is an issue. how does the range of the 21" tires compare?

The tires are quoted as follows EPA est range:

20" AT: 289 miles
22" Sport: 303 miles
21" Road: 328 miles

No problem, but like i said, these are in very different average ambient temperatures so are not directly comparable and very likely over estimates the decrease in efficiency as the decreased efficiency from cold weather driving is combined with the less efficient wheel/tire setup.

This is exactly my plan. 21” for summer to maximize range, “cheap” 20” rims and snow tires for winter. Use one of each set as a spare.

Nokian has some that are a slightly smaller size with a lower than OEM load rating. If you're not planning on loading up the vehicle, it'd probably be fine but definitely something to consider.
