R1 Shop access with Max Pack Spec'd

I just got an R1 Shop invite, but have a Max Pack spec'd. This feels like a glitch. I am very confident that the R1 Shop doesn't have a max pack in stock now or anytime soon. Anyone else get this?

Backstory: I dropped a second deposit once I realized max pack was getting delayed. Got an R1T last summer and planned on trading it in once the max pack is available. Now I'm having second thoughts since the max pack is looking to be 400v (not 800v) and I'm actually pretty happy with my range on the large pack. Now I need to figure out what to do with my second reservation. Kinda curious about getting an R1S for the wife, but feel silly with two Rivians in the driveway (I have a Volvo EX90 reservation also).

I also have a max-pack R1T reserved, and I just got my second invitation to the R1 Shop (which will only show R1Ts if you have an R1T reservation). You are correct that there are no max-pack vehicles in the shop. I assume they are hoping you'll bite on one of their "spare" large-packs R1Ts and reduce the number of max-pack customers.

It's nice seeing the R1Ts available in the shop, and I might have bitten on a few if I was OK with a large pack...but I already have a 300-mile EV, and I need a max pack for towing, so I'm waiting. If Rivian takes too long, I might end up with a Cybertruck or Silverado as the tow vehicle. In that case I'd probably switch my config to an R1S and hope for an invitation to that shop...our second grandchild was born last week, so now a 7-passenger local car (300 miles would be plenty) could be handy for going places with our son's family. But like OP, I'm a little concerned about having both a large truck and an R1S...we are used to have something much smaller around for daily driving.

They are hoping to convince you to take a standard pack, since you won't see max until 2024 or later.

Exactly. This is not news. I was a Max Pack reservation holder and got Shop Access in late July/early August 2022.
