Anyway to know how much degradation in charging speed with the cover on the charging puck. Mine now push out 7.5 which is noticeably slower than the 15w that magsafe is capable of.

For the recessed area on this design, will there be a production part there, that’s not 3D printed, or at least covered by something so that it doesn’t look 3D printed?

We do not have the means to make it out of anything else. In my opinion, with the black and how shadows hit everything. It doesn't look 3d printed.

I like the topo idea but those colors look really bad against the Black Mountain interior in the pictures. The wood needs to be stained black. Or can you offer an anodized aluminum plate that's laser-etched with the topo pattern? Something that is not 3d printed cheap-looking plastic but also looks like it belongs in the truck.

As this is veneer. You can try to find a stain that will match your interior. But I can say that trying to find something that is close but not exact will look worse.

Personally I love the way this looks. We will add more colors as they become available or as I find products that will work.

Can’t wait for the release. Will give the walnut a chance as suggested as I like that the pucks are hidden. Only way I can think check to check charging speed is by testing a device with the same starting state of charge and charge for x amount of minutes. Not very scientific I know.

I will try to test. I am going to assume its going to reduce it. But I really love how this looks. I am going to keep testing this, and see if I can see a difference in charging.

Yes, I don't think I'd try to stain it. Looks great with the topo. I don't mind the walnut veneer against the Black Mountain wood, same way as OC airbag cover against BM steering wheel. If you later on produce an anodized plate with the etched topo, I'd climb the mountain.

Asking my metal guy if this possible. Oh. And the magsafe would have to be exposed. Its a no go through metal.
