I also received a personalized care package from my Rivian guide, Andrei!
Congrats!

My guide didn't give me sh**. Month of my delivery he messaged me saying he will be on vacation and won't be available delivery day. Got my truck, haven't heard from him since that “going on vacation" email.

Thank God my truck has zero issues and I'm loving it!

Congrats! We still need to get our trucks together for pics at some point. :p Nice on the care package...never got anything from my guide, but I generally didn't bother him unless I had a question since I know how busy they are.
You’re darn right we do! we’ll make it happen, lol.

As you can imagine with how talkative I am.. I was asking all sorts of questions and sharing pictures of Moab trips with my Tacoma, etc ?

You should be hoping you never hear from the guy again unless you’re going back to buy another one. The best car buying experience is the one that never involves going back to the dealership for anything.

The care package thing is weird. Seems very random, and only certain people get it. I picked up my truck a month ago and there was no care package or note at all. No idea why certain people are receiving them. Rivian should just give a package to all owners, honestly.

I disagree with that. We paid for the truck, we got the truck. I didn't ask for this and/or do anything special to get it, it was just a nice discretionary gift from my guide. Having just purchased a Model 3 Performance for my wife too, Rivian already goes well above and beyond what Tesla does as far as the purchasing experience.

Probably being a bit annoying, I struck up conversation with my guide as much as possible to hear why he joined Rivian, what he likes to do for fun, what kind of adventures he gets into. I also told him how just in the last month my wife and I both went 100% electric. I try my very best to spread positivity everywhere I go. I don't do it for any particular reason, but sometimes I get cool stuff out of it, like this, and/or (often) free Chipotle.

I kind of regret posting about the gift because it's making a lot of people sour because they did not receive gifts. That was not my intention. My intention was only to show my cool new truck and show how awesome my guide has been (for me).

I hope that your new R1 has been absolutely awesome for you though!!

To clarify: I'm not sour at all, and glad you received the package! I just think at 90k, Rivian should include a welcome package to everyone at this stage as they're building out their core audience of early owners. It goes a long way to build life-long customers when a company goes a little beyond the minimum. Even a note goes a long way.

I took delivery on a rainy Friday morning on April 14th, I haven't had a ton of time to take really good photos yet, but here's just a few.

I also received a personalized care package from my Rivian guide, Andrei! He's been such a rock star and I'm so excited for my wife to purchase an R2 down the road and go through him!

Overall the fit and finish has been exceptional on my R1T, absolutely no complaints! I'm already at nearly 700 miles....! ha!

I mostly do drone work in construction and have turned a LOT of EV skeptics into believers this week! :D

My wife and I have trips planned to Moab, Taos, the PNW, and Yellowstone this year. I am beyond excited to get out and take some photos of the adventure!

That's a very good point! Sorry, I didn't mean to assume.

Man, even just coming with the portable charger (Tesla doesn't and it's an extra) is nice.
