I see your order is placed for R1T rock sliders. We hope to begin shipping these by mid May!
@BrookeRRiv is that specifically for his order or for all R1t sliders? just wanted to get clarification because evsportline said that some slider orders WILL ship in late April (this being the last week in April that would mean shipping now basically). Thanks!

We are managing expectations a little better on sliders.

We WILL ship some in late April (welding now), but it will take some time to get through backorder, for sure. Good/great news is we have 3x our output on running boards (doubled fixtures and shifts), same strategy is in motion for sliders - so I expect we will plow through sliders much, much faster than we did on running boards. ?? thanks for the patience everyone!

Seems like the same crap as a philips hybrid you are just asking for someone to strip it out by using the tool they have had for years and assume it the same one.

Or, as I call the middle one "a standard Philips after I've tried to use the wrong-size driver on it a few times."

Does that mean there’s another delay? As some have pointed out, we were told late April.
Apologies for the delays everyone!

Here's a quick recap of where we're at. Part of the delays that we have been encountering are due to the fact that we have been making revisions / improvements to the design. Rather than rushing to market, we've accepted some delays to improve the product. Everyone benefits from the improvements. More specifically, these improvements include the following:
  • 1. Our product is the only one made in a production facility (not made by local fabricators). As such, our product includes production-only benefits such as a zinc coating under powder coat, to help with long term corrosion protection. No one else does this.
  • 2. We have the easiest install, versus other designs. We are the only products which allow using plastic panels (running boards), or completely replace the plastic panels with steel plating (sliders).
  • 3. Our product allows using factory jack pad locations, so Rivian dealers/service can still jack the vehicle without removing the product.
  • 4. Our structure is more rigid (higher load rating) than any other designs.
All of these great benefits with our running board and rock sliders did come at a cost — delays in manufacturing

Thanks! No need to justify anything just keep us and your website updated with realistic timetables even if delayed. Under Promise and Over Deliver instead of us hungry Rivian Folks keep on pestering (although I think that's really not possible giving the Fanbase of S00N community).

Part of the problem is that the April date WAS the “under promise / over deliver” date.

Guys, no one said we will miss the April date...it's still April.....we also said we're 'starting' to ship in April, backlog will take a minute to plow through.

Also, keep in mind, we're almost caught up on R1T running boards and R1S running boards will ship within a week -- and we'll be caught up on both of these in early May for sure. Sliders will roll fast from there.....

We underpromised and WAY over delivered on the product and pricing. But yes, timing has slid some. I am confident 95% of customer will welcome an over delivery on product, performance, value, quality and price savings....over the time delay - this is how we are operating. I get it that 5% of customers are out of their skin over the delays, I understand that too - i want these parts ASAP - as fast as possible, we're delivering them.

Thanks again everyone for the support!

Thanks for the communication. I agree that the product/ pricing seems excellent! And I am also in the 95% that prefer a good product.

But Brooke said “We hope to begin shipping these by mid May!” (Emphasis on hope).

So just concerned for more slips.

Thank you for all your work- I know manufacturing (and customer service for this community) is a hard thing! Please don’t take this as criticism, we are just looking for accurate (as possible) info.

I think most folks are going to want to drill holes. Well not want, but choose that method. I understand not printing materials but you should provide printed templates due to printer variances. My were all off a bit. The plastic pieces are very expensive. We deserve a lesser chance of causing unnecessary issues due to lack of templates.
