SOLD - 80amp Tesla Tap + hard case and lock. About 1 year old. Converts Tesla to J1772 - doesn’t work for Supercharging. Like new condition. Similar to “Lectron” but supports higher amp and is UL Rated.

SOLD - Tesla Gen 1 Mobile Charger with soft Tesla case, NEMA 14-50 and NEMA 5-15 (regular house plug 120v) and J1772 to Tesla adapters - Gen 1 chargers support 40A charging. Rubber charging cable has a few scuffs, handle has some light wear, but still in great condition.

I'm interested in the 80A Tesla to J1772. I wasn't aware that one could go higher than 48A for the convertor. Did you use this without any issues?

Rivian doesn't L2 charge at more than 48A. I think the implication is that if the adapter is rated at 80A you don't have to worry about melting it when running 48A through it. But really, that should also be a true statement for an adapter rated at 48A.

Yep - I have a number of EVs but none of them are at 80A charging - it is more of an “overbuilt” choice.

Ok. Thanks for the info. I'll be staying at a hotel that is a Tesla detination charger site where it's listed at 16.6 kw which I assume it means it's 70A. That's too much for the Rivian unforunately

Ok. Thanks for the info. I'll be staying at a hotel that is a Tesla detination charger site where it's listed at 16.6 kw which I assume it means it's 70A. That's too much for the Rivian unforunately
Well - in that case the Tap would work for that, and the Rivian would only draw its max (48A)

Thanks for the info. That makes sense. I'm far away from you so no local pickup and don't need it for a couple of months. I'll check back in a few weeks to see if you've sold it. It's a very good deal for someone with an EV that can take advantage of the 80A
