I had this problem a month ago. It is a telematic control module.

They have to program the telematic control module in California and ship it to your SC. It took about 5 days from drop off to pickup for the repair.

Same thing happened to me after OTA update. Had to replace the TCM. My gps still work intermittently updated position every couple of minutes and could still stream music even though it said no internet connectivity. Got it back from the service center in SSF last Friday. They did a half ass job. Left my frunk cover on the of the tonneau cover and if I didn’t notice it. It would have been on the freeway. Also had a rattle over bumps on my way home and drove back to the service center to complain. Was about to go on a road test with tech but then saw they left all 4 of the Jack point covers hanging down so I fix it myself. Lastly the rear seat belts were left behind the rear seats so I couldn’t buckle them and had to remove the seat to get to them. I’m a professional technician for over 25 years and this is just sloppy work. Makes me wonder what else they messed up . I have to go back there in a couple of weeks because they still didn’t fix my air suspension leak the last time. They replaced the compressor and said they found a leak at a fitting. But I’m still losing air overnight.

Having the exact same issue myself. Service appt is at the new Cincinnati service center tomorrow. Hopefully that along with my original delivery punch list is taken care of quickly…

Wow! Got a service appointment at Bellevue SC in a week.
Learned that a diagnostic snapshot can be made by holding down the icon next to your name on the main screen. I previously thought this was done with the hazard button.

Still works to do it that way, but they added the name thing a few updates ago.

Where is the TCM located? Behind the rear seats?

They've confirmed it's the TCM and have it on order before next weeks service appointment. I'm naive as to all the details of what this module does. Should I be concerned about using DCFC this weekend? Is it part of any communication between vehicle and charging dispenser?

I had this same issue and aside from not having any kind of GPS/Streaming/etc the vehicle was just fine.

I had no issues charging at any fast charger.

The only remaining related issue is the Nav does that weird slight rotation thing from time to time which I find annoying, but I haven't reported it.

Rivian called to tell me they have the TCM on order. He said it was in the dash. I hope you are right!
Don't like the idea of tearing apart the dash and future squeaks

Yikes,
These are exactly the issues I have.
Since 2023.14.0 update in May 2023…. Truck is broken… no internet, no gps, no WiFi, nothing. Truck has now 1500 miles and last reported in app saying 1100 miles when the update was installed. Still not fixed, and the soonest I could get a service appointment is February 7th 2024 to hopefully look into this. Patiently waiting… Not happy to say the least.
Hoping they will consider fixing it sooner. Been sitting a long time and rarely gets used since it was bricked. No solution.
this thread is first time I’ve seen anything that makes sense but still I’m stuck with a truck that can’t be fixed for a long time.

Is there no recourse for this. Have you spoken to a lawyer? This is pretty absurd.
