Full size spare for the R1S. How can a car be considered an ”Adventure“ vehicle without one? the 3rd row of seats could and should be an option and they were when I made my order. That would give room for the full size spare. Car Play

Cheating just a bit with a 2nd entry, in a separate post.

I would like to have a rear bumper that I could stand on.

It never occurred to me that the R1T bumper would not be designed to accommodate this. Yes, I know the gear tunnel doors work as steps. It is just so much more convenient to stand on the rear bumper of a truck to reach stuff in the bed or to climb into the bed.

The original design had a tailgate that folded flat, and little steps folded out. Wish that would have made it to production.

Wonder if that can be done in aftermarket? I assume so?

Strong #1 is Car Play, or at least the ability to add apps to the already lack luster system.

I want to be able to move the lock closer to the driver so I can read it.

The seat has a raised section across the back that just hits me wrong, it isn't comfortable as I'd expect. And while I'm talking about seats, F' that "vegan leather" BS I want real leather.

A pillar grab bar.

Parts store.

I miss having an actual glove box.

I want my key fob to work. It hasn't since day 2.

It would be nice to see at least the front and rear cameras from the app.

Driver plus improvements including auto lane change on the highway (manually initiated with the blinker) and ability to use on all roads with good lane markings.

Define "truck like". My wife and I find the seats darn near perfect and that's after owning Volvos for many years. Curious what you're actually wanting changed.

It's hard to list just one thing as there are a myriad of items that would improve and already stellar vehicle.

The simple things that can be done OTA: Add steering wheel left button functionality to the driver display to include odometer, trip A, trip B, time and outside temperature (yeah, I know they're on the center display but very small,) cabin temperature control, and anything else that would eliminate hands off the wheel, multiple button pushes on the center screen.

In the same vein, change the annoying turn signal. Why in the world did Rivian move into the future by removing almost all tactile knobs and switches and then saddle us with an archaic turn signal reminder that emulates a 1960's bimetallic flasher? Thinking all the way back to a 1964 Chrysler 300 and all the vehicles since, I don't think I've ever had a noisier flasher.

Quality control needs to improve, but honestly, my truck, with the exception of dirty hand prints on the headliner, was pretty much flawless on delivery. One of the lucky ones, I guess.

But I would love to have a customizable HUD. Let me put the information I want in a place I can see it easily without taking my eyes off the road.

But I guess the big #2, maybe it should be #1, is an easy, secure method to access the interior of the vehicle when the 12v batteries die. I feel that this is a huge omission in the design. Especially in an "adventure" vehicle.

Metal Roof, option for a sunroof
An actual off button (sometimes I just sit in my car gathering my thoughts)
Sirius XM
RES (rear entertainment system) (some of us have kids that cant be trusted with a tablet yet)
Real Leather
Power Retractable Running Boards
Better seats (they are too narrow, and not plush enough)
Massaging Seats (some of us have back problems)
Navigation isnt that great.. This could obviously be fixed with AA/CP

There are some things Rivian did great.. Other things... Why reinvent the wheel?
