You can see in the smaller red circle that your tail gate is misaligned and the long red oval I marked shows how there is no room between your top tailgate and bottom tailgate. Looks at the silver one. It has spacing where I marked it. My R1S is just like yours. I’m taking it back to get it fixed.

I think in that picture it looks worse than it actually is. They fixed the door alignment when I got the car. It had a panel loose of top and had to stay at the SC. It actually looks way better than before, not perfect, but I can live with it.
It has small alignment issues all over the car. Noticiable if you pay attention but nothing major. VIN is in the 92XX.
I am giving the car a couple of weeks to see if there is anything major and then I will include whatever I see as fixable in the same ticket, right now I am in my honeymoon and don't want the bride gone.

This sucks but the go-to window tinting pro in my area who uses this film said he won't apply it to the front windshield due to liability purposes.

I'm assuming he thinks this is going to mess up sensors, driver assist, etc...anyone run into this before?

I don't see how it will mess with any of the sensors since they are all located behind the plastic piece next to the rear view mirror and no tint is applied there. I had 55% XR Plus applied to my windshield and I haven't noticed any change in Driver+, forward collision warning, rain sensing wipers, auto headlights, etc...

UPDATE:

I just sliced the data from a different approach. that clearly helps understand the big difference the ceramic is making. Again, the ceramic day had slightly worse conditions that the oem measure day, 93F with breeze vs 95F no breeze.

I did a matrix on how much each point I measured changed:
  1. from the starting point to 20 minutes later with the car off (2:00PM to 2:20PM),
  2. from starting point to an hour later with the car off (2PM to 3PM).
  3. how fast it cooled when I turned it on for 5 minutes, (3PM to 3:05PM)
  4. how much it cooled in 10 minutes (3PM to 3:10PM
The results are pretty amazing. as an example, the headrest got 36 degrees hotter in one hour without ceramic compared to 22 degrees with ceramic and then in 10 minutes with the ceramic it cooled down 47 degrees vs 38 degrees without ceramic. So, with an hour AC off and then 10 minutes AC on, the car with ceramic would have the headrest 28 degrees cooler than the one without it.

The only area where the difference was not as huge (12 degrees), was in the passenger seat. This is because I did measure the seat in the shaded area by the door pilar, so if you have the car in the share ceramic will help, but obviously not as much as in the sunlight.

Here are the results:

What was the pricing on this package. Any XPEL Discounts?

For folks in the DFW are, looking for shop recommendations to get this done.

Correct, but I’ve been running 15% and even 5% on the front for years. No issues.
Last time I was in for an inspection, they actually measured the driver's side window. Tint was legal but, technically, he should have failed the inspection if it wasn't.

Got pulled over a couple years ago by a cop claiming he was concerned about my tint. I have my doubts that that was the actual reason he pulled me over but tint was in spec. Supposedly is part of annual inspection as well but guess is unlikely to be routinely, if ever, checked. In any case, 30% is plenty for me.

Yes you can fail inspection for tint but there are places that don’t check when you go in and I haven’t had issues. I typically stick to 15% for the front two and haven’t had issues seeing out or anything.

Yes, you can circumvent the law but it's not worth my time or hassle trying to one-up the system. And, frankly, I don't have any need for such dark tint. You do you.

I love the windshield tint!

Are you going to get it put back on after you replace your windshield in the first year? Any thoughts on outer protection? #Fuyao
