My Guide just informed me there’s a delivery update being posted on July 15. Fingers crossed for a advance on my Aug/Sept R1S delivery estimate!

Do you have a VIN already? I received one last week but waiting on the window to be opened for delivery.

Interestingly, I removed PPF from my max pack order (just to speed things up), and my estimated date did NOT change to “processing“ like it did last quarter when I changed something.

Same window, and also hoping for a slight acceleration given the ramp and shift to primarily making R1S vs R1T - would be happy with just a narrowing to Aug - but I feel like we might have gotten guide contacts at this point if that were the case. Aren't those typically 3-4 weeks out from delivery?

I was allocated a guide around 3 weeks ago. He said that we must be close (as we’d been given a guide) but he doesn’t have a firm date.

Nice! Luckier than I am it seems. Maybe That means I am still stuck in Sept and not Aug - or at least not early Aug for sure

Rivian hasn't announced a date for updates as far as I've heard or seen, other than just "July". I don't know why your guide gave you a specific date, because no other customer service person is committing to a specific date. I doubt your guide has inside information, but regardless Rivian has not publicly promised a specific date in July, so please be aware of that. Posting "my guide told me" information is just going to lead others to believe this is a hard and fast promise from Rivian, and I guarantee starting on 16 July if the updates haven't been released we'll see people posting all about how Rivian "lied" and how they "missed" another deadline. (We're already seeing those, because some think "July" means before 1 July).

Back in October, Rivian started quarterly updates of delivery dates. October, January, April, and now July. All the other updates have been at the end of the month, and they have never promised a specific day of the month. I don't expect this July update to be much different.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but having a guide assigned does not always mean that delivery is imminent. I was assigned a guide close to a year ago and am now on my third. My original guide was assigned well before Rivian announced that the R1T Max I had reserved would not be produced. I've since reconfigured to an R1S LR, and have had "Processing estimate" as my delivery projection for several months now.

None of this means that you're not getting close to delivery, just that being assigned a guide doesn't necessarily mean that your Rivian will be in your driveway anytime soon.

The typical process includes an email going out telling you not to mess with your config after a certain date because that's the window they run the estimate calculation in - and that email comes a few days before. Meaning if we see something Monday/Tuesday like that, maybe this is true - meaning they will RUN the estimates around the 15th - and then in another week or so we'll actually get the results. I suspect that's the more likely case here. That would track with the tradition of "later in the month" for actual updates going out

Oh I'm sure the estimates are coming sometime in July, I just wouldn't hold my breath for a specific date.

One thing that will make the estimates a little harder to calculate is that the dual motors are planned to start shipping very soon - that is bound to complicate the preparation of the estimates, because until they have actually started the line for the dual motor and run it for a few weeks they won't know exactly when and how many they can crank out - it's all a guess until then. We don't know what percentage of orders are dual motor, and if the start of the dual motor production doesn't go as planned then it's going to affect all the dates even for quad motors. I'm sure Rivian will hold off on the new estimates as long as they can, because every day gives them a more accurate picture of what dual motor production is looking like.

FYI, every previous delivery estimate has been posted on the end of the month, with the configuration being used to calculate that needing to be locked in by the 15th.

So expect it to go "Processing" on the 16th, with the actual update coming on the 28th or 31st.

yeah basically what I was getting at - we might see an email "soon" that says have everything locked down by the 15th - at which point they'll begin the estimate processing and we'll hear back in a few more days to a week or so

Me too - late 3rd week of June. I also got the R1 Shop access at the same time. Do you have access?

At the time, my guide told me that I have been selected to confirm my config also. If you do not know or have had that, you might ask your guide about it.

I picked on from the shop (exact config that I'd confirmed) and got an email saying it was being prepped to be shipped from Normal.

Currently, I am waiting to schedule the delivery date. Delivery guy from the service center texted me with week of 7/31 but no definite date and time.

November 21 pre-order with Q1 2024 delivery estimate (my estimate has not changed since December, last year).

Has anyone heard any updates related to North Carolina deliveries? I'm seeing more around me in Charlotte but the continual "Processing" status hasn't changed, nor have I seen any state legislation updates either that might be more B2C EV friendly....

Hey Mike - never got a delivery estimate but pushed for shop access and have R1S coming to Raleigh next wk. Getting access to the shop seems to remove that constraint from the process... It seems that it may be up to the individual on how much risk they want to take on distance to service center they may be willing to tolerate. I am 2hrs from Richmond.
