For me, I will usually have the 3rd row down so the cargo area liner needs to also cover the back of the 3rd row - and I Donn't want to have to remove the 3rd row liner, when seats are in use.

In addition, when there is an occasional need to fold the 2nd row down to haul things, so I'd like that covered too.

So, the image below is from LinerX and it's supposed to be coming soon. Between their cargo area and these two, it should cover the entire cargo area behind the driver's row. The only problem is that their cargo liner over the lower tailgate sticks out beyond the tailgate height when closed. They say to fold it/tuck it under the floor portion but not really practical if loaded with stuff so I hope I can find another solution for that...

WTF Weathertech. I know they measure real cars and test fit, they couldn’t snag ONE picture of it in the R1S? Even the product image on a white background isn’t correct.

They're on autopilot these days. Too bad since there Is more competition than ever.

Yeap lol I wanted to see how it compares with my linerx and nothing lol.

Just got the weathertech today, fit is pretty bad, ends do not flare out and line up with edges. Even worse, the indentation in the cargo mat also does not line up with where the edge is behind 3rd row. Thought I had it installed backwards but if you flip it around, it still doesn't line up and the weathertech logo is upside down. Sent an email to weathertech, will see what they say.

Yuck, looks like mine will go right back when it arrives. It’s all one piece with no flexibility to have the 3rd row up. It always just flops over the hump.

Ooof. Brutal. Thanks for being the guinea pig for these. I’ve been waiting for something like this for a while (no one seems to have one that covers the area with the third row down, preferably two pieces) and almost pulled the trigger on these until I saw your PSA… ?

Thanks for sharing. Sucks you have to deal with this , but very helpful for the community.
I have a few weathertech products in my R1S and they are great so I am surprised if they did this so poorly.

Got mine today as well and was also disappointed. The actual product does not meet my expectation based on the depiction on their website - there's hardly any coverage on the sides but the image shown in their website depicts coverages on the sides (although it is not an image of a Rivian). You would not believe this was custom made for the Rivian.

LinerX cargo liner provides far better coverage in that regard and has a much better fit. However, LinerX cargo liner covers behind the 3rd row.

I was interested in the WeatherTech for full coverage behind the 2nd row. Will send this back - really surprised by this as this is not my first WeatherTech product - others were perfect.

Wait.. how does it handle the different heights of the floor when the third row is down? it looks like it just goes straight over it without any contouring?

Man, considering the high quality of weathertech stuff, I'm shocked to say the least.

I think it requires the rear cover to be put in the ramp position. Which means side-to-side is a drop off. They could have solved this with either:

* A contoured step down
* A two piece solution

Damn.. Super dissapointing.. I really don't like the linex solution either and need a cargo cover ASAP.
