$2222 for the 20 AT Brights. Not bad for forged 20’s. EV Sportline is selling forged 20’s for $900 a wheel. I was told they would make an exception for me. I was shocked they sold them to me not as a kit that I didn’t bother asking for the TPMS. So it was just the wheel. My shop swapped the TPMS from the 22’s.

I don’t think it has that type of functionality yet. Our Rivian app doesn’t even display the correct tires.
EV1 has few options, there is $499 forged wheel as well: https://evsportline.com/collections...-forged-wheels-by-team-1ev-for-rivian-r1t-r1s

But a 10% difference is really a good deal, and you get original ones

cool. i wonder if Rivian service will be able to calibrate it in some way or if it even needs it. i know folks have been getting recalibrated when they switch wheel sizes but not sure what happens when you keep the same wheel with a different tire.
You should be able to buy a replacement 20-in tire in the same size and not have the 3% issue.

As for the old ones sell them here

Advantage of going with 275/60/20 is you end up same size as stock 21 and 22 (33" instead of 34") which means lighter tire, better efficiency (and lower cost).

My Average on 20ATs is about 1.8 but then on my longer trips, I always have the "bike rack tax" applied. I'll be curious when biking season is over if I'll trade that tax for the "cold weather tax?" :movember:

If it's the identical size to the 21s rivian should be able to just program it like it had the 21 inch wheel

Exactly, this is what people have been doing. A bit of a hassle and varied costs reported to have them recalibrate. Hopefully they eventually make it simply changeable in software.

(And sorry, corrected my size error on initial post, 275/60/20)

Just left Discount Tire in Bremerton, WA, disappointed. They won't put the AS+3 on any Rivians, R1T or R1S, because the 115 load index. 116 is lowest they'll go.

Thoughts?

Options:
-Michelin Defender through Costco (easy rotations and service)
-Find a local shop that doesn't care ( ugh)
If shopping for an all-season I’d chose the Michelin Defenders every time. They perform amazing in every category and have a long lifespan.

Defenders would've been about $700 more for all 5. I might try them next time for ease of big box store service, rotations, etc. I've really wanted to try the 275/60/20 and am happy with the first 100 miles.

You get to say "I told you so" when we get a blowout next week though ⚡??

this feels like a minor difference for the chain tire stores to refuse to install.

Yeah 77 lbs, many drivers weight that much more than I do. So in my case I should be just fine with either rating.

On the other hand I'll likely be regularly carrying around a few hundred pounds of tools in the gear tunnel.

Rivian stock tires are 116 in their system, so that's their minimum ??‍♂

77lbs per tire, *4= 308lb load drop

As @jjswan33 pointed out, more important than GVWR is the rear GAWR at 4960lbs. 115: 2679*2=5358... 4960/5358=92.5%
116: 2756*2=5512... 4960/5512=90%
Smaller margin, but still safe.

While looking for rear GAWR, I found this ironic example in the Rivian manual and feel much better about having 115:
