Running boards have never been rated to carry the load of the vehicle. That is why there are two variants.

They do tell people. The sliders are the only ones that mention they are suitable for jacking. The running boards simply state the factory jack locations are still accessible. In addition the FAQ on the product page states the following:

“Can I jack up my Rivian on these? - The 'Slider' version can be jacked directly on. You can jack up the Rivian in the middle of the truck, on the slider, if you like. We do not recommend jacking directly on the 'Running Board Only' version - the factory jack puck locations are still accessible.”

Sorry guys let me be very specific. I clearly understand the capabilities and limits of both. I was more curious about that specific post by @EV Sportline where they jacked up the R1T on the brackets of the running board only version. In the wording… “These puppies are amazingly rigid and strong “ one might assume that while step itself is not strong enough to bear the weight of the car, the brackets ARE capable according to their testing. Sorry for the confusion

I ordered mine last Saturday, they arrived that Monday... I'm in New Jersey. (Only ordered the running boards, no sliders, R1T)

Interesting... I just ordered mine (Rock Sliders #69xx) just now... was thinking maybe I'll get them delivered to the Atlanta, GA EV Sportline Installation Shop by Thanksgiving...

Just installed the vinyl compass yellow trim... I have no regrets about getting these. I can see the seats getting ruined with everyone sliding/falling out of the truck on their butts. With the running boards installed, it doesn't happen anymore.

It depends on what version you are looking for. R1S boards seem to be rather quick to deliver, but R1S sliders are not yet being delivered.

Looks like you just loosen up the plate cover & "pinch" the vinyl-welt-cord-piping between the big tube & flat plate?

Got my running boards installed last week and love them! Makes getting in much easier for the family. Although, my 20 month old can now get in all by herself.

The folks at T Sportline were great, and they installed it really fast!
