Recently changed interior from black to ocean coast. Will this delay delivery?

I’ve been seeing some posts that say ocean coast interiors will delay your delivery. Anyone have any insights? I have an R1S on order.

During the two times that I had shop access I saw more Rivians with OC than BM. I don’t think there is a delay between one over the other.

If your order is R1T you should be fine. If it’s R1S you’ll be waiting a while.

If you changed to Ocean Coast with vegan leather trim (aka, full OC), you may be waiting a very long time. My guide recently emailed that the vegan leather trim options for the R1S (Black Mountain or Ocean Coast) are not currently being manufactured, and she's received no communication about when they will start. To expedite delivery, choose an interior option with Ash Wood trim.

I am curious why Rivian decided to discontinued the light wood original Ocean Coast as ordered it looks much better in my opinion. Light wood can not be that hard to source Alder, Ash, Pine, light Oak, Holly, Beech, Poplar, Maple, Hickory. Of course I would like to get the car at all since 7/18/21 assigned advisor 2 weeks ago with zero contact.

There is a lot of previous discussion on this topic. Basically, from what I understand, is that the wood aged very poorly. They could not get it to keep from yellowing and generally looking bad.

Good explanation, sorry to be repeditive I am a newbee here also I did a couple of different searches involving wood and interior this was the only one that was close. Cheers
