I understand most folks don't wander around thinking about web accessibility. But a screen shot of text is annoying for everyone! I can't even copy and paste it!
I'll agree that Rivian needs to not do this and follow accessibility standards.

But here's a screenshot of how I personally copy text out of an image.

I know this was already said, but I'm just echoing the sentiment.

Garage Door accessibility and geofencing was nowhere near one of my top requested features. It wasn't even on my radar. But now that I have it, it is one of my favorite OTAs updates to date. Not having to use the touchscreen for something I do multiple times a day is a huge plus. I'm usually pretty negative, but Rivian nailed this one.

I LOVE this update.
Coming from a Tesla, I missed the auto open/close garage door feature. The tapping on the screen twice was annoying.

That said, I actually think this is a better implementation than the auto open/close. At least for me. I often drive past my house to my parents house which is a few houses down. The auto open/close would automatically open my garage door even without me pulling in my driveway. The ability to just tap the right button is great as its the best of both worlds. Ease of use, but still control over when it opens/closes.

Why would some random Rivian customer's github repository be the source of truth? Rivian certainly is never going to post a link to something like that.
Got it, yeah, good point. I never looked closely at the source, it's just what comes up when I search for "Rivian OTA update changelog" I assumed they might manage such assets in github. Sure am glad for it though because, well, COPY/PASTE which you can't do with the image assets Rivian publishes...

In this update I don’t understand the text address sharing, I was hoping it would make reading a text on nav screen not sure.
I made a video of all the changes in this software update. If you're interested in how the different features work it might be helpful.

I've been double-clicking and the garage door moves instantly. I assumed that was how it was supposed to work, no?

I love the garage door update but I have noticed 2 additional problems after this update.

Has anybody else had any of these issues?

1. my contacts won't sync correctly (no favorites, not all contacts, etc.) even after unpairing and repairing my Bluetooth connection; and

2. I noticed the auto emergency braking is more aggressive than it used to be. Going up Vail pass, I was passing a slower car (that was in the left lane traveling 50 mph) on the right and the auto emergency braking activated way before it needed to as I was closing a much slower semi in the right lane. I had plenty of room to pass the car in the left lane and change lanes before I got to the semi so I am not sure why the auto emergency activated. My only guess is that the differential in my speed vs. the semi is what scared the electronics (I was going 75 mph vs. the semi going 30 mph).

No. 1 is less of an issue as I am sure one of the next updates will magically fix it ;), but no. 2 is kind of dangerous in an emergency situation.
