Phone Contact sync...

Long time listener, first time caller. Only about 20 of my 500+ contacts sync with my R1T. Had a service tech visit and he couldn't fix (went through the same steps that I had...). Seems odd that "some" come over, but most do not.

iPhone 14: ios 16.5.1

Sorry to hear that. I too have the same issue with my Android 13 phone (Zflip 5) after the last software update. It was working fine before.

Only some contacts sync and favorites never do any more.

I have reset the infotainment and hard reset the R1T, unpaired/paired the phone multiple times, disabled/enabled Bluetooth. Nothing works.

I am pretty much having the same issue. After update, contact were gone. Attempted to re-pair iPhone 7 times. Finally got contacts back, but now my cell phone can’t be used as a key. It shows I have a cell phone key, but it needs to be set up. Tried numerous times, even contacted service. I think the only way to fix this is to delete phone as a key, and re-set it up. But no one can tell me how to delete my cell as a key.

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried that but still having the issue that none of the favorites and some of the contacts fail to sync.

Deleting the phone key option is available through the phone app under security and access.

Hey thanks it worked. Had to do it like 4 times. But it now works!

Yeah, I tried synching my contacts from my iPhone and nothing happened. Then, I realized there was really no need to synch the contacts, if I wasn’t using Alexa. I mean, if I’m making a call, I’ve got my phone, and will just use Siri.

I hear you. Except when it works, it's very nice. It transfers the pictures and is very easy to use.

I may try multiple phone key deletions as @Rknb2000 suggested.

Hey maybe I didn’t explain good. I deleted the phone from Bluetooth about 7 times. Then my contacts worked. Your suggestion worked after I deleted everything that was connected to my iPhone from the Rivian.

No luck on my end. I am sure my problem is because of the sheer number of contacts I have (~3k) but it was working before.

The 2023.42.01 updated fixed my contact syncing issue with over 20,000 contacts. My favorites, contacts, etc. all sync now which have not since I received my truck. Apparently this was an issue with very large contact lists. I'm grateful this issue was addressed!

Same exact experience with Rivian 2023.42.01 software here. It was working several versions back and then stopped.

It's working again. (My phone is a Samsung ZFlip 5 with Android 13 and latest software updates.)
