I can believe that. That's why this place is the closest I get to social media. I left all of those sites years ago and my sanity has thanked me for it ever since. I try to put more of that energy into things that actually matter like my family and community.
Any more Ben is an idiot. Did you catch the "sky is falling on used Rivian prices" vid? No longer were selling for 150 percent of the new price so used values had collapsed. Like others have said...he is a click bait warrior and nothing more.

No. My social media embargo applies to YouTube media personalities as well.

I don't really get the rivalry. Tesla makes a decent car especially their entry level. I think their high end stuff isn't as good as their rivals at this point but the entry level models are decent.
I think a lot of people fall tend to either focus on differences and then stick to the group(s) most like them like Ford versus Chevy, sports team A versus sports team B, etc. As soon as they spot a difference the other person gets filed away in some variation of different=bad. This kind of thing tends to divide us.

Others like to focus on similarities, like, “I know we don’t have much in common from a surface level, but I found the thing(s) we do have in common and I can build on those common things.” You may be a Chevy person while I’m not, but I find the common interest in cars far outweighs the brand of car we’re each interested in. If you can get past that, too, then we can probably get along just fine.

As a result I have a fairly diverse set of friends: physical characteristics, politics, religion, hobbies, etc. The one thing they all have in common is that they established themselves as good human beings to me.

Seems like the sort of thing we should all strive for.

Clearly it’s not for everyone! I find it to be so much more pleasant than being on high alert all the time for the adult equivalent of stranger danger.

This was an unfunny and unimaginative video. Or maybe I'm a humorless fanboy because I own both.

I couldn't even watch the whole thing...utterly stupid. I think most people that own electric cars understand the purpose of them and like all versions whether they own a particular brand or not. At this point, most cars out there have a specific purpose and demographic, and there isn't a lot of overlap right now...that will probably change in the next 5 years.

Interesting, don’t see any Rivian haters on CT or any Tesla Forum page. Don’t understand the animosity (or insecurity) v Tesla.

I own a Tesla, have both CT on order (11/22/19) and R1S Quad (12/2021). Again, don’t understand the hate.
