I have noticed that the pressure regulator for onboard air is +-10%, sometimes I will set it to 50 PSI and it goes to say 49 or 54PSI.

When reinflating my tires after a day on the trail this means going around to each tire individually and either re-inflating or deflating manually to get my exact tire pressure.

So...my thought was to see if there was a mechanical inline pressure regulator that I could hook up to my air line. Does anyone have any recommendations? I know sometimes guys use these for paint guns or whatnot on their airtools, but those are just flow regulators. The goal would be to get each tire +-1PSI to a set and forget mechanical dial, stop when it hits that pressure, just like my offroad tire deflators do which are spring-loaded.

Much appreciated!

Get yourself a 4-tire inflation kit, like Morrflate, with its own pressure gauge and use that to gauge pressure. Such a system would also equalize pressure across all tires. You can also use it to deflate all 4 at the same time.

Great suggestion, and I had thought about that, however I am concerned about the duty cycle of the onboard air. Do you know what it happens to be? I don't want to burn out the onboard compressor going from 25 or 30 PSI all the way up to 50 PSI for all four tires at once. I should mention this would be quite catastrophic since the air suspension relies on it, no? Typically when I fill up right now I give the compressor a 5 minute smoke break between tires...

Thors lightning too. Get the 8’ extension with it. After inflation the quick release is almost too hot to touch

Yeah that's what I am concerned about--too much heat. The ARB twin compressor has a 100% duty cycle, this one is probably designed to fill one tire at a time. Curious--how many times have you refilled all four tires without issue? Also, did you need the 8' extension for the kit to reach? Thors has a midsize/full size kit length option, but no mention of wheelbase on either.

Got it recently and only used 4x. The heat happens no matter. Extension for between compressor and manifold. Could get a shorter hose however allows me to air wife’s vehicle too while both in garage.

It doesn’t take long to inflate tires. The compressor is spec’ed for it. Like any part on any car, if it fails, it fails. Warranty or replace out of warranty. If you’re that worried, you can always run a portable compressor off of the onboard outlets.

I recall reading the suspension has its own compressor.

Nice. Any link to the 4 tire inflation kit? I’ve struggled to find one at that price.

This is the one I bought - says $39 now, maybe it was but thought it was 30 when I pulled the trigger.

Combine this with the inflator above and can air up and down to specified pressure like any of the $150 and up multi tire sets. It’s also compact with the crappy nylon hose ?

Dang. Even at $39 that’s a deal. Thank you!

You get what you pay. The hoses may not be as pliable or durable than more expensive kits. So take care to not step or run over. The manifolds and junctions are also much cheaper than more expensive kits. If you won’t be using it in the field and hard use environments, it’s probably fine.

I got Speedflate’s kit for the ease of use its coiled hoses offer. But had to change out the tire chucks for ones with a smaller diameter because of Rivian’s wheel design.

It’s the same extruded nylon hose material as the crappy yellow coil hoses that are ubiquitous everywhere - and like roaches will outlast the apocalypse.

Good for you. But most definitely not same hose stock Morrflate, Speedflate, ARB or Indeflate uses.
