Yes it is. I called and they scheduled mobile service to bring me one in a couple of weeks.

Funny I just looked and it showed available soon and went back to see call to order after seeing your post. I have one ordered and a mobile tech appointment for December 5th.

From what I've heard elsewhere, with other items in the Gear Shop they've honored the original price of things THEY removed from your configuration. If you removed it yourself, they won't honor the original price. I found my email. It's dated 12/15/22

I just talked to Rivian. The CS person said, if they removed it, they need approval but supposed to honor the original price of $450, instead of $778.

He said he need to write up the order and submit it for approval, then call me back in couple of hours.

Will confirm once the transaction is completed.

which email is this? the one where they say they are removing shop items from your order? I recall getting this but never one that showed the actual spare being removed from the invoice

Yes. Mine very clearly shows a list of items removed from my configuration. (In my case it is just the Compact Spare, but others have more items on their list that's identically formatted.)

I just ordered mine and can confirm that Rivian will honor the original configuration price of $450.

My car was in shop for windshield replacement yesterday, i read somewhere in forum that the spare is available, later in the day they called to check on when I would pick up vehicle as the windshield was finished replacement, I asked about the spare, I mentioned premarch order pricing, they said they would check if any in stock, today when i picked it up from service, the spare was already installed and added to my service order at premarch hike pricing, excellent service!

I picked up from the shop. Can I still get the original pricing?

Yes, it took speaking with four CS reps but I was able to get pre March pricing. They at first said they couldn’t find that I ordered but I explained to them that I was given shop access and bought one from there so maybe that’s why I’m not pulling up in their database. I had to provide CS with screen shots showing that it was added at time of configuration to my original R1S. I also found an email from Rivian stating that my accessories including the spare tire were removed and that I could purchase at a later date. I get mine installed via SC visit December 14th.

They installed mine yesterday, so it does exist. Pre-March 1 $450 pricing was honored even though I switched from the R1T to the R1S and bought an R1S from the shop.
