If 1280 Wh and 100Ah, it'd be 12V.
5120 Wh and 100Ah, it'd be 48V.

Given the size of the space, the voltage would most likely be in the single digits to achieve 100Ah; the size available could probably fit a 12V 20Ah battery with BMS.

That's what I was thinking. My 12V 100Ah LFP batteries are the size of a standard lead acid battery. Camp speaker is about half that size.

Probably better to solve the vampire drain and there will be enough power around to the tune of 1kwh per day! Right now it's like tossing one of those out the window every day.
I thought the vampire drain was much more and would be similar to tossing several of those out a day.

Could be. I figured 100Ah×12v = 1.2kwh like a car battery capacity. I pulled my camp speaker out in case it is constantly draining and mooching power.

Assuming that it can vary voltage, it would be great for powering small appliances as well as electronic kitchen items (e.g., coffee maker, griddle, etc).

No need to be tethered to the vehicle.

If:

- LiFePo4 (not Li-ion)
- Regulated Pure Sine output (or at least a curvy wave - not a modified/square one)
- >= 1 Kwh (1000w) sustained 110v output
- Not too, too pricey (and it will be a bit pricey, folks!)

I'm in for one.

I'm assuming those are USB-C ports below the 110v?

Don't read into it. Theoretically possible and they want to include everything they can as a patent. You could easily back-feed the connector or connect the mobile charger and give yourself up to 3/4 mile of additional range.

What would be nice is if it could override the 12v battery system if the 12v dies. No more bricked vehicles!

Based on the size and the fact that it needs to have the inverter and DC-DC converter(s) for the USB outlets, I would expect something in the 200-500wh range.

If we assume just a single prismatic cell, or a number of cells in parallel, that would be 3.7V nominal * 100ah = 370wh. That's a decent amount of energy to run a laptop, TV, CPAP, etc.

Also, at a reasonable discharge rate of 2C peak, 1C continuous... I'd expect something like 600-800W peak, 400W continuous.

For pricing discussion 12V 100Ah batteries from Chinese companies like LiTime can be had on Amazon for about $300. American companies like Battle Born and Astro Lithium range from $600 to $1000. None of these have outlets. These are just with standard battery terminals.

if rivian did something like this I would expect it to be north of $1000.

I'd add that it is a pretty confined space today and batteries are not partially energy dense but give it a few (++) years and you could have 5-10 times the density and a bit of redesign for more space and... so makes sense.
Average rate of battery progress is mid high single digit percentage per year. So, 5-10 times is not happening for a very long time.
