Hi, I have a question take a look at the attached picture. Does this look right or does there look to be an issue with the laminate? I have nothing to reference it against and I’m unsure.

Doesn't look quite right, but I can't honestly say I've examined my own very closely. When you view drivecam footage does it look normal?

I don’t believe that camera is part of the drive cam. My understanding is the drive cam camera is in the front bumper. I believe this one is for lane assist possibly

You are correct. I just looked in the owners guide and that camera is listed in the Driver+ section.

That's not the camera thats the gel pad for the rain sensor, have you had a windshield replacement? It looks like the pad isn't seated all the way

No, it’s the original window. I picked it up about a month ago. It’s been like that since I purchased it. Doesn’t look right, but I was hoping someone could put eyes on theirs to see if it looks similar or it’s entirely wrong.

If you are talking about the black blob, mine is not like that.

Picture is not great but it is even.

I had the same exact issue when I took delivery of my R1T. It seemed to affect my auto wipers as they didn’t work at all.

I made a service appointment and brought it in. The tech immediately said the sensor had an air bubble in it. He said it was a quick and easy fix. After they fixed it, my auto wipers worked as advertised.

Yeah, it shouldn't look like that, usually that's how they look after a replacement when the pad isn't seated all the way.

This is not correct. This is your rain sensor and I had the same issue. It’s a one time gel adhesive and I’ll bet your rain sensing wipers go off when it’s not raining. Make a service ticket tell them that the rain sensor isn’t adhered to your windshield and since it’s a one time adhesive needs to be replaced. They can also do that mobile.
