Anyone using Rivian (unofficial) integration with Home Assistant?

I have an instance of Home Assistant running in a VM on my computer. Just for fun, I added the Rivian integration to see what kind of data I could collect. Since I also have the Rivian wall charger, it collects information from there, as well.

Currently, the wall charger shows 7 entities; the R1T has 118 entities.

I haven't played around much with graphs or gauges on the dashboard and am interested if anyone has done anything interesting with the data.

It first appeared on 12/19 and, thus far, only shows "Off". I haven't found any sensor that logs battery temperature.

Yes it's great. You can also expose some scripts to Google assistant to automate heating the truck etc....

I too have HA running on a VM and have been trying to find time to install and play with it, and set up some logging and trending. I’ve just been too damn busy with work related stuff the past two months to do the fun stuff.

i haven't done too much with mine yet, but i can see my SOC go down slowly while it sits in my garage. i can see it mostly NOT sleeping at home; i think because i walk around with my phone and it sometimes gets too close.

the only automation i've done is to notify me to plug in, if location is home, and time is 9pm, and SOC is less than 45%, and charger connection is not plugged in.

here's a snapshot from today, coming home from my first EV trip, first Rivian trip. It shows charging at a Rivian station (peaked at 210kW briefly).

for the left column, i use Rivian Card - https://github.com/tmack8001/ha-rivian-card, and a history graph card for the power state.

for the center column, i use mini-graph-card. i show 24 hours, but it's kinda fun to have smaller granularity and see SOC, speed, and odometer relationship. i'll see if i can overlap them with the right scales.

for automation the R1S so new i haven't gotten a feel of what automation is needed yet so i only have the basics right now. see screenshot (easier than yaml since it's just entity states). i use pushover for my notifications (so i can override vibration mode if my 3d printer has an error). right now it's my new toy, so i constantly monitor my Rivian tab in HA and also the app and also peek in the garage, so i really don't need any automation.

i dont know if i need any special automation or notification if there's an error (12v battery health), if there's an update available, or if i need to closely monitor sleep or SOC vampire drain rates. maybe i'll create an automation for my google home devices - "prep the rivian" and have it precondition the cabin.

my wife drove it once and it was interesting to watch her speed and bearing etc.

Not to wake a stale thread, but this is awesome. I’m in the middle of switching from smartthings to home assistant.

I am going to write a script to keep the garage door from auto-closing if the R1S is at home and the liftgate is open.

Got some good scratches on the minivan tailgate from that.
