What? I only see positives responses on the LG now. I switched back to LG based on this picture. I love that color.
I just switched (again) to LG from FG... It should look really good on the R1S with the green and black roof contrast.

Sigh. At least nitpick over something of merit like the panel gaps.
wow I didn't see that till you said it and I went back and looked at the image. yep lets hope that's just a bad camera angle...

love the launch green...just switched back to it from LA Silver...little bit of work to do on door alignment...that rear door is off

Might be the front door, but yeah, there's an alignment issue for sure. If you look at the way the back of the rear door lines up with the gear tunnel and the other panel behind it, there's no way the rear door could be lifted or tilted to align with the front where it is.

And then you wonder why most people in this forum weren't invited ???

I would have never noticed if it hadn't already been highlighted! I would have been a perfect candidate to invite. My rose-tinted glasses are ALWAYS on when I'm at a special event!:LOL::LOL:

The rear door is out of alignment vertically, it looks like.

@DuckTruck did you get any pictures of launch green in daylight? Interesting colour.

looking forward to hearing more about your visit to the factory and time hands on with the R1!

Kyle,

To answer your question, I'm the one on left. I think you know the other guy by now. And this, folks, is what Launch Green looks like. If you look carefully, you'll also see the Rivian Grin stuck on my face, just as it was on all of the small, but very fortunate group in attendance. My face is hurting now as that grin us still there.

To a person, we all felt extremely fortunate to have been selected. To say it was life-altering to be a part of it is not an exaggeration for me, and I'm not even talking yet about the R1Ts we were allowed to sprint, drift, climb, rock-crawl, and fly through fields of tall grass in.

I'll be adding more later today, as I'm still trying to get down from Cloud Nine after last week. I'll just let you know these vehicles are just as awesome as the team that is currently building them.

I think many of you know I'm pretty upbeat and optimistic. I went into this event with unrealistically high expectations, and somehow, RJ and the entire Rivian family managed to blow my expectations out of the water.

How's that for a teaser....Oh yeah, along with 130 MPH....

More to follow.....
I don't know if you're read these forums or not, but everybody has concluded that Rivian is run by a bunch of dopes, the trucks are nowhere near shipping, and they're obviously covering up the fact that they don't even work by not letting anybody review them yet.

So please stop fueling the conspiracy with all of this positivity that is obviously nothing but lies.

</s>

(Congrats, and can't wait to hear more from you!)

I congratulate you on being one of the lucky ones! It seems like an amazing event to attend while smiling like a kid in a candy story the whole time. I cannot wait for your full write up and its pretty crazy that this is launch green! Completely different then what I was expecting almost to a point where I dont even believe it! Maybe that is why it took so long to post/finalize. I have so many questions but I will just leave it to my main question.

Did you observe any kwh/mi or total range you can report back on?

Thanks!

Man, now I am even more happy with my choice of LG. Now, I want to know what the green interior looks like in person. I have black now but might change if it would play well with this.

Launch Green...I kind of love it
I absolutely love Launch Green! Internet pictures look great of every color in their collection, but seeing them close up made all look better. The Canyon Red and Rivian Blue, in particular, stand out, and all of the vehicles look different as the sunlight changes or the clouds open up. The Forest Green was my backup, but I'm all in on Launch Green after seeing it.

They opened the garage doors during a pretty good rainfall and the Launch Green version quietly rolled in. It looked great with the water beaded up on it, but even better as they dried it off. With the Forest Edge interior, the combination (the same as my configuration, including the 20's) is as nice as I could have imagined.

I expressed that I was willing to help them out on the shipping expense by simply driving it home, but they very politely declined my non-self-serving, yet generous offer.

The last picture captured one of my shoes, which I thought beforehand was close to Compass Yellow. The true Compass Yellow is more mellow, and richer looking to me. It will look great rolling through the woods, or in town. I'm still searching my gallery for pics of any number of colors, but pics really don't do them justice.

In case anyone's wondering, that damn grin is still stuck on my face....

@jimcgov3 thanks for the extra info. I'm one of the 10k followers on that page. Maybe you and skyote can get an interview with John or Duck for your youtube channel (or maybe that has already happened)?!

Wow that is pretty crazy is that is the pain sample, Id be totally curious to see it in a different light. Its definitely some color shifting pearls in there almost chameleon style paint.

You sir are a MVP.

It still floats my boat, but all of the colors look really nice and the R1T takes on a different look in each one.

Seeing one in black really stood out as being a cool ride for the city. Living in the Northwest, the heat buildup wouldn't be that big of a problem, like it would be in Southern Cal, Arizona, Texas, Florida, etc.

Another thing about the heat, the glass rooftop didn't seem to be letting any in, although I wasn't really behind the wheel in the heat of the day. From the backseat especially, the view through the glass was a huge plus. I can envision Yosemite, Sequoia, and other Adventure lands where it will provide beautiful views of the cliffs, mountains, and trees above. If the view of the Grand Canyon presents itself through that glass, it's been really nice knowing you.

Almost like they’re meant to compliment each other ?

if I’d put My preorder in early enough to get an LE, it would’ve been launch green. Forest green is a fine substitute
