I wish there was a feature on the rivian app that would alert you if you forget to plug in the garage charger before going to sleep. I have forgotten multiple times in the past and then in the morning have to take the wife’s car to work and have her take the truck once it’s charged.

Write or print a bold reminder note and place it right above your garage doorknob so you see it every time you leave the garage.

It would be nice in case a temperature drop or something caused the battery to get lower than expected. Example: Notify me when the battery gets below X%.

I just always plug in as soon as I get home. I used to not do it because "we might go somewhere" but the time it takes to just unplug in that situation is so low it doesn't really matter.

That's something I've incorporated into my "before bed routine". Confirm doors are locked, kids not falling out their beds, garage door shut and while at it I confirm the Rivian and Tesla are plugged in, lock garage door.

Otherwise I'd just put a daily reminder on my phone. It's not a bad idea for an app reminder but also just something you might need to just work into your routine.

Literally anytime the truck is in the garage, it's plugged in. It's second nature. And my 9-year old loves doing it, so if he's either a passenger, or anywhere near the garage when I get home, he does it for me!

The only time it's not plugged in when I'm at home is if it's temporarily out in the driveway, but we don't leave it out if we don't have to. And in the off chance we need to, I can run my cord under the door, and either way it's a conscious decision.

Are you sure you are remembering but your wife is sneaking out and unplugging your truck so you have to take her car she can drive the Rivian? :p

Not much help to everyone, but I have ours tied into HomeAssistant, and if they are below 50% and not plugged in at 10pm, I get an alert on my phone.

I used to always plug our Tesla in, but with COVID, we drove a lot less so it would sit for days. The reminder is a great compromise if you know how to set it up.

It’s allowed us to be much more casual about having them plugged in.

Just plug it in when you pull into the garage for the night.

Set schedule on the app for charging start and end time and forgettaboutit....

I do the same. Charge limit is set to 70% with notification to plug in if SoC falls below 50%.

Two things here... First, your wife probably distracts you with her wiley wifey ways so you will forget to plug in and SHE can take the truck. Second, rember to ABC (always be charging). Muscle memory is a wonderful thing. Always plug in when you come home, and it will become second nature, and the truck will always be "full".
