Those are pretty advanced detailed CAD drawings for a patent. That gives me hope this is farther along then just an “idea”

I am pretty sure this is the design they actually tested early on then decided against producing? I could be wrong about that… I know they did try one and then scrapped it.

I sure hope they make this!! I love the existing bars, but would welcome being able to mount my ski box further back - probably on the back location on the roof and the front location of the box - it would be the perfect spot to access the ski box while stepping on the gear tunnel door. (This is what I do now to access the box on my roof, but the reach is a little awkward sometimes.)

Existing third party ones are $2000-$3000 and are not easily removable or storable. If it's OEM and in that price range, then I would say it's reasonable.

I love this. It looks very similar to the one I have and had to modify to fit. But it would be much better attachment. Take my money.
