As a local (now living in LA), this is great to see as Rivian's footprint expands. EVs make perfect sense for the islands, especially adventure themed!

Aloha, new R1T owner here. I Purchased in Washington and took delivery on 1/11. long story but had to drive it to Oakland to ship out of Oakland port. picked up in Honolulu on 1/25. Absolutely love the truck! The purchase process seemed like it would be easy and straightforward but the guides and registration dept for Rivian seem to have no idea about someone buying a vehicle out of state and handling shipping/tax/registration in a different state. but overall, love the truck and happy the service center will be up and running soon over here.

Will he relived when service center is running even though I have not had any need for service at all.

even got truck towed for parking violation. Problem with a fancy unique car is it got called in for parking in a strip mall’s lot that I wasn’t shopping at- ?

Only issue after towing cameras were not working but a hard reset of software fixed it….phew

I just got an email today from my guide offering shop access. I’m on Kaua’i. 1-5 week delivery. I’m gonna hold of and wait for my build I think but there are a few configurations that are really close to mine.

Myself being on an outer island as well, thats good news. Although I've only been waiting about two years. I think if they contacted me, I would hold off for my configuration too. We're almost there.

Just put some new wheels/tires on and love the way it turned out. drove it a couple times this weekend and so far so good on feel. you can definitely tell the difference between the all road tire to the all terrain but it surprisingly wasn't as big of a difference as I thought it would have been. I have been waiting for the Toyo EV all terrain tire to come out before I purchased some aftermarket wheels/tires. ill update after a month or so of driving!

Picture is vehicle in standard ride height. I checked all ride height and no rubbing at all.

Wheels: Method Race Wheels, 315 in Matte Black (changed all lip bolts to black)
Tires: Toyo Open Country A/T III EV, 275/60R20

hey Riptide- you want a pair of Husky fronts all weather floor mats for free?They are as good as Weathertech. I replaced with a pair of Tuxmat so have these sitting in garage taking up space. LMK either way.

Right on! Two others were rolling off the barge this past week. Kauai folks must have really jumped on those Gen 1 deals last month. I’m stoked, more of us means better service and support. And the cherry on top is I didn’t have to buy a ANOTHER Tacoma.
