Just had this installed paired with general grabber hts60 275/60/20 LX.

Will post efficiency once I drive it a little more

Looks great!

Is there plenty of clearance on the lowest setting? I would guess there is but rims stick a little further out, right?

Nevermind, I see AW09 is stock 20" dimensions... total wheel weight is 66 pounds! That might be a record! Wow, looking forward to seeing your efficiency numbers...

Thanks. Same dimensions as the OEM so nothing is sticking out. No rubbing on lowest setting either

Just did a drive to work and the number doesn't look right. Although weather in Dallas is not good this morning 36 degree and 20 Mph wind.
Drove all purpose at 80% preconditioned with 247 miles. 13 miles to work ended with 233 which is almost spot on. 10 of those miles from work are highway drove at 70 to 75 mph.
The kwh looked subpar. What do you think happened?

What was the elevation change? Were you running the heater or just the seat warmer?

Wind, temp, and speed sound like they were not good, so can’t really say…what was temp when they inflated? Might try and bump them all up to 50 psi…

The travel is very flat. heat is on at 78 degree 1 knot. No seat warmer. I had all tires at 48 psi cold and it warmed up to 50 during driving. Don't think that would be a big factor for low kwh though.

Sounds like wind and heater were major factors, likely several kw went into heating battery/conditioning.
Heater/misc-1-2 kw
Temp-10%
Wind-likely reduced efficiency by 25%
Let’s say 7 kw including 33% increase due to wind/temp/speed…
So with adjustments, if wind - temp - speed were ideal (65f, no wind, 60-65 mph) it would be around 2.7 mi/kwh…
On return, try no heat, 65 mph, hopefully a tailwind…

I'll do more testing next week when it is a little calmer in the weather. Do you know if the general grabber HTS60 is a directional tire?

Several factors have contributed to this situation.

During our tests conducted at 22°F, we consistently observed poor efficiency.

Were you previously using 21-inch tires before [AW09]? If so, your efficiency with road tires would likely remain similar. However, after switching wheels, we may have focused more on the numbers without considering the impact of changing conditions. I recommend monitoring your efficiency under better conditions, such as temperatures between 50-60°F with a warm battery after overnight AC charging. You should see improved results.

Additionally, here in DFW, we experience strong winds that can negatively impact efficiency.

You also will see better numbers after new tires will have 300-400 miles on them.

Yes. Coming from 21". It is slowly creeping up to around 2 today. I think the tires are still very sticky
