Read a number of posts here and I have a couple of questions. Leaving a Mach E AWD extended range. Looking at R1S for SE MI drive to Mio once a month and Columbus Ohio also. Is quad motor and 21” tires the way to go? I have a A2Z typhoon and Tesla to J1772 adapter. Yes I am looking at the large battery pack. I know there are limited tire options on the 21” I care more about handling and comfort or looks on tires. Thanks for your replies looking for real feedback from local drivers

There are plenty of DCFC charging options available now, including RAN locations on both the routes you mentioned, so choosing the tires based on range differences is probably not necessary for you. Choose the wheel/tire option that you prefer but take future tire replacement option/costs into consideration also.

I've got about 15,000 miles on my 22" tires and have perhaps half the tread left. I swap them off the OEM wheels for Hakkapeliitta snows for the winter (NW lower MI).

You should be fine with any of the options.

Prefect thank you this is what I was thinking not worried about 20-30 miles, I have a l2 50 amp charge point charger at home. I am 90 percent going R1S vs Cadillac Lyriq.

if 12 v battery dies is the only option tow truck to SC?

Spotify does it stream or can I download a podcast? What app is there for audio books?

There have been several threads here discussing 12v battery problems - search them out. I've had no issues so far...

I streamed Spotify a bit initially, but then moved on to Tidal. I don't listen to podcasts so cannot say if they can be downloaded. For audio books the best way is probably to just use your phone's app and stream it to the R1 via Bluetooth.

Thanks everyone no vehicles available and Rivian isn’t doing any orders so I guess I wait or find something else like a QM or different color… they did offer to switch wheels for free?
Is there a. in decoder to find if it is a dual perf or quad motor and color ?
