Just out of curiosity… is it a center of gravity thing? Raising up the mass
of the battery with a greater suspension travel in high setting would that be dangerous on a sharp curve? Throwing in my two cents… coming from a WRX driver… not a Prius. ?
Rally mode on the quad motor allows it. I drove the quad motor for the past 2 weeks in rally mode and experienced 0 safety issues. Actually felt very stable in the high mode

Big truck guy can’t drive truck without his helpful lil sensors. LOL You’re a clever troll I think you can handle it.
Lol it's not about sensors. Rally mode is not available in the dual motor version . You're the troll that's getting hurt over an idea.

It’s all good Trucken, you just came in the forum all rootin’ and tootin’ taking shots, I actually don’t think it’s a bad idea. Let the owner decide if the ride and efficiency hit is worth it, just like we do with our ICE lifted trucks.

Bro, I literally can't believe all the negative feedback I got on here lol. I'm beginning to think Rivian employees are on here and paid to interject any idea they don't like. Lol

There's absolutely no way I would care about what height someone else drives their vehicle. What's going on in this forum worries me.
I think you share something with Diddy
like this comment?? Wtf is wrong with you?

Let’s think this through. In high setting, it’s like drooping suspension, you are inducing positive camber, which does not provide stable handling at higher speeds. That’s why it’s speed limited.

Curb the attitude yeah? Acting this way and telling others to “grow up”? Best to not take it further. You’ve done enough damage to yourself.

I can understand that but why is it allowed in quad motor version?? Service tech said it would make no difference to have it also in dual motor

Number of motors doesn’t change laws of physics or vehicle dynamics and rules governing suspension. It has nothing to do with suspension geometry and resulting handling characteristics.

In ICE cars and truck without variable height suspension, whether lowering or lifting, camber correction kits are often needed to get things back into spec? In cars with variable suspension you can really do that because the suspension isn’t going to stay and be used at just one height.

Dude get off of here. You provide nothing
Read the room. Your complaint is not warranted, and you’re getting ridiculed for it. High ride height at highway puts undue stress on components and it’s an unnecessary trade-off, other than to try to appear as a “big” man.

“Why doesn’t Rivian install exhausts? I want to coal roll! Are you a Prius driver?”

Exactly. So why is it allowed in quad motor version ?
