Rough day for my R1S... source: house fire, not vehicle

I just reviewed the original poster´s other threads. There´s not very many.

I don´t get the vibe of a troll. He has previously asked for help with some small issues, responding with respect and appreciation to those who have given advice.

Maybe he has not returned to provide more information because he´s just a whole lot of stressed out.

A poster just dropped the same photos (and a new one) on the subreddit for Rivian. That poster's history doesn't seem to align perfectly with this one (seems to me to be much more flippant in r/Rivian.)

ETA: There are some random posts in the r/Birmingham subreddit, and both posters seem to really love talking about the A2Z adapter. Going to revise and say it's likely the same poster. And yes, no context there either.

Reddit response from author asking them why they haven’t given an update on what caused the fire.


Sorry dude. My freaking house burned down so I’ve been a bit tied up. There’s not much to the story - unclear as to what caused the fire but it started in the house - had nothing to do with the vehicle - I was home alone and just made it out. The fire hadn’t spread to the outside of the house and my keys/wallet/phone were by back door and I tried to grab them but fire was too out of control by then.

By the time I got across the street to my neighbors and called 911 the fire spread to the carport and the roof of the Rivian was the first thing to catch fire.

But the vehicle categorically had nothing to do with the fire. I havent gotten my home charger installed and have been unable to charge it at home (hit a grounding error when I tried the wall charger).
