Shop is open. Still mostly the old quad motor ones. There are 5 performance dual motor max packs showing up in SoCal with the refreshed version. Hopefully they add more throughout the day.

In the email from rivian announcing the update, it stated that my early preorder pricing can only be used with shop builds, not custom builds. I guess I better check often for what's available!

They want to build what people want to buy, so unless you have a weird combo a shop build should work. I suspect the reason they are limiting to shop build is to hold to the deadline.

I want an Ocean Coast interior, which I'm sure will arrive in a batch.

We're hoping for an ocean coast interior also. I'm curious how common something like tow hooks will be, or when the aftermarket will offer something.

Adding tow hooks should be easy because the structure is designed in. I think the one compromise with a store purchase might be a wheel I don't want. They are also probably forcing max pack on some people.

But with the preorder discount and the 2022 tax credit none of the choices seem expensive.

While the only option for purchase on my profile is the shop, my email doesn't mention this limitation of the pre-order pricing voucher. Where was that stated?

I received a different email. Mine says "Visit our blog for even more details...." at the bottom. No link to the shop.
