Hey folks. Are there really any differences between these 2 trims in terms of specs and performance. I don’t care abt the wristbands and cosmetic stuff. Thanks

Literally the wrist band and the badge on the dash. That's it.

The launch edition gave the original purchaser a discount.. and gave them the wrist band.. The badge on the dash is cosmetic. Thats it.

It isn't even "Launch Edition had a discount" - it's "people who put down a deposit early got a discount" - which *most* bought Launch Editions, but many didn't because "Rivian Shop" access became available, and some are even still waiting to purchase; while excess Launch Editions hit the Shop, and people without the discount bought some.

All the Launch differentiators:

* The wristband key
* The "Launch Edition" badge on the dashboard
* Some purchase options (even outside the 'early depositor discount') were cheaper or free:
* 20" wheels + All-terrain tires were a free upgrade (The underbody shield was *NOT* free, where now it is packaged with the 20" all-terrain as a single add-on.)
* Some exterior colors were free that cost money on Adventure, others cost less than for Adventure
* Ocean Coast interior color was a free upgrade. Forest Edge interior color was cheaper.

This meant that the Rivian Shop would list two identical vehicles, one Launch Edition, one Adventure, and the prices would be different. With the Launch *cheaper*; then the "early depositor discount" would apply.

I'm pretty sure the launch edition the only thing that's really different, is you get the launch edition badging on the interior, but also at the time of purchase upgrading the wheels and I believe selecting a color was free of charge.

A lot of launch editions were very early vins too. Not all though. I’ve had experience with several r1 vehicles now and in my opinion the later builds are much better than some of the earliest (6000 and under). That said, you do give up some of the ephemeral luxuries like the 12v plugs in the trunk and the meridian sound system.
