I have some initial quality issues with my Rivian R1T. Which of these if worth having Rivian fix? I’m worried that they’ll make something worse than it currently is.

First two photos are a larger panel gap on the passenger side headlight.

Third photo is some flaking in the center console.

Fourth photo is a gap/no fully installed lower fender trim.

Fifth photo is a protruding fender. The fender and driver door aren’t level.

Get it fixed. Make sure you get a loaner and don't take it back until you are satisfied.

I would have them fix the light and center console tear. That center console is a very expensive piece.

The other issues might not be worth it. The fender is normal. If they try to fix it, they will make the tolerance so tight that in the summer the panels will rub.

The plastic cladding gap I have seen on other deliveries as well and can sometimes be improved but then they disturb other gaps.

I would create a ticket and throw them all on there and see what your service advisor says.

He / She will let you know what they can truly fix / improve and what might not be worth it.

That’s currently the plan. I have a service appointment in a few weeks. I’ve just read a few horror stories of them making it worse.

Currently, I have them all on my service ticket. I’m assuming I’ll go over the issues in person with someone at the Rivian service center when I drop off the vehicle, right?

Yes. When they check you in, ask them to do a walk-around to go over your concerns.

I feel like most cars look similar to your last issue. Middle of the fender panel needs to come out a bit to give clearance to the door when opening. In fact mine was so tight, my PPF guy had to cut some of the film off to clear it.

As others have said, file all of it and be reasonable when the service advisor walks through it with you.

Linked were my issues at pickup and the results of what they did or didn’t address: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/took-delivery-at-costa-mesa-sc-r1s-149.17688/
