Thank you! I helped design the Goodyear tire specifically for Rivian. I am very happy with the balance of efficiency and all around performance!

In theory, AT should not be more efficient than AS. What is the reasoning behind it if you don't mind answering since you helped with the designs.

Rivian describes the tire as an All Season option. Goodyear calls it an AT. It is a mix of both AS and AT, but rolling resistance and efficiency were the top priority for this tire.

He has dual motor, so despite All Purpose drive being his default, the rear motor will still disconnect at highway speeds and run like a quad in conserve mode. Personally, I get about 5% improvement with conserve, so pull that off and he's at your 2.31mpk. That's still impressive for an All Weather tire!

Absolutely impressive. I do love all season tires, but definitely don't like the look of it. This good year probably will be the best for both.

Great info here in this thread fellow Rivians'. Tarkus will celebrate her 1 Year Birthday on 08/04/24 & will hit 40k miles as well & tire tread on this 2nd set of 21" OE Pirelli tires is at their EOL, so I'm gonna pull the trigger & swap out my 21" Rims & get these 20" Rims & Tires from Tire Rack delivered & installed next week

Guess I'll deal with recalibration OTA when Rivian releases it. Keep Ya Posted...
I installed the same configuration (glossy option) and I really like them - the driving is more comfortable (than 21") and the handling is better IMHO. I lost about 10% of the range ( I hope it will settle down to 6-7% after the break-in period):

Looks amazing! Love that color combo!

As the tire breaks in and has some wear, the efficiency will improve.

Like all the other OEM tires, the Goodyear does not come with a treadwear warranty.
Remember that the Pirelli Scorpion AT DOES have a tread warranty of 50k miles but only when actually purchased, not as OEM if that makes sense. When you buy them from a tire shop as a replacement set, they will have a 50k tread warranty.

My Gen2 R1S came with the 20” Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT 275/60/20. With 1600 miles I’m happy with the ride and lack of tire noise.
What does your About screen look like? Specifically the Wheels section and the picture.

Also your Energy screen when you tap the "Range based on..." , it should say "... With XX XXXXX wheels".

The Pirelli is an expensive option! It is interesting that they have chosen to advertise a 50k mile warranty when purchased as a replacement tire. The majority of OE tires sold for replacement do not have a specific treadwear warranty.

Tire Rack now has images of the Rivian specific Goodyear tire!...

Yeah Pirelli is known for having a warranty buy only on purchased sets, not OEMs. Is there any reason you would buy the Goodyear tires over the Nokian in 275/60/20 115 for around the same price if the Nokian's have a 50k tread warranty and are supposed to be better off-road?

Hard to tell. It reads 2.1-2.3 on most drives. In Houston summer the AC is running all the time, even when I’m parked.

That's interesting... in order to hit EPA range, you should be getting about 2.8 mi/kWh. Of course there is a lot that goes into that, but since you're in Houston, elevation won't be a factor, only AC which will come at a cost, but it shouldn't be that low...
