Does anyone know how to set a default climate control? Which vents are Active, their direction, temp, auto or not, seat air or not, etc. The last update seemed to take a shot at it but it just doesn't work in allowing me to save a current default

Not sure what that means, did you get the last update & does it have a pop up that asks you if you want to "save preset". From there it's a mystery as it does nothing. I have no clue why Rivian would launch an update that flat out doesn't work or is so poorly designed, the user is in the dark. This with the whole font size issue is leaving me to consider selling & certainly not as excited about getting the R2 or a newer version of R1T in years to come, no thx.

All that does is save a preset of vent position to A and B slots for passenger and driver. Soon, it will be tied to your key, and the entire system will be how you like it/saved it including seat vent/heat.

One fundamental thing you need to understand about Rivian's update strategy is that many of the features that seem half baked are actually just setting the ground work for upcoming features, and are intentionally incremental.

Yeah its frustrating. Rivian is moving in the right direction but as stated it really only saves the position of the vents right now. Future software updates will hopefully include more settings as well is attaching said settings to the driver profile.

Things that always come back for me:

Temp
Auto
Rear on
A/B vent setting

Things that are forgotten:
Seat cooling
Floor cooling
Custom vent settings NOT saved in A/B

The latter has always been a problem, even before there was an A/B. The driver vents would seemingly move randomly when remote-starting the AC.
