I don't miss my Model X at all ---

But, is there any way to control AC fan speed with the steering wheel rolling button?
Was a nice feature on the X.

And is there any way to flip the audio controls to the driver side of the screen?
Easier to access.

No on both counts.

Fan speed is only two taps on the center display, within easy reach of driver… unless you have arms like T-Rex? Volume control is on the steering wheel where it belongs. The volume control on the center display is supplemental and for ease of passenger… when they want to talk or have a phone call (since their phone is not currently paired and piped into the sound system). The car is not the problem.

The Car IS the problem. I absolutely love my R1T (and do not have T-Rex arms) but the Heat/AC controls are cumbersome at best and downright difficult at worst while driving. Requires too much focus and distraction from driving. Thank God for Driver+. I'd say there's still definitely room for improvement. So many taps to get to what matters and make air or fan adjustments.
Fan speed is my biggest gripe and I wish there were a way to turn the speed down to a slow crawl so that the whine of fan noise was not required in order to stay at a comfortable temp

Would like to see the option to flip audio to driver side. Without more steering wheel controls it’s hard to change temperature, audio etc while driving.

Fan speed control via the scroll wheel would be nice. I also used that on my S. Tapping on the screen multiple times for options is annoying when a tactile alternative is right there at your fingertip. However, I have found that the Rivian is much better at slowing the fan down once the cabin has cooled. On the S it would stay pretty high.

I also wish the currently playing song display could be moved to the driver's side. I normally use the steering wheel controls for volume and next track, but I glance at the song more than navigation since the navigation is visible in the instrument cluster.

I use Alexa for climate control, audio and other stuff and it works mostly fine for me. Your mileage may vary. You may hate or not trust voice assistants, etc. Let's not go there in this thread ... but it probably will.

Climate and Comfort
“Alexa, set the temperature to 70.”
“Alexa, set the driver/passenger temperature to 70.”
“Alexa, turn on/off the air conditioning.”
“Alexa, turn on/off the steering wheel heat.”
"Alexa, turn on/off the driver's/passenger's seat heat."
“Alexa, set the driver's/passenger's seat heat to low/medium/high.”
“Alexa, turn on/off climate sync.”
“Alexa, turn on/off the front/rear defrost.”
"Alexa, turn on/off air recirculation.”
“Alexa, set the temperature to low/min/medium/max/high.”
“Alexa, turn on/off the fan.”
"Alexa, set the fan to min/medium/max."
“Alexa, turn on/off the vents.”
“Alexa, turn on/off the driver/passenger vent.”
“Alexa, set the front/rear vents to floor/body.”

Car Controls
“Alexa, open/close the hood/front trunk.”
“Alexa, open/close the charge door.”
“Alexa, open the tailgate.”
“Alexa, turn on/off the rear light.”
“Alexa, turn on/off the front reading light.”
“Alexa, set the screen brightness to low/medium/high.”
“Alexa, turn on/off the ambient light/lighting.”
“Alexa, set the ambient light/lighting to low/medium/max."

Media and Music
“Alexa, mute/unmute/pause/resume.”
“Alexa, turn up/down volume.”
“Alexa, play music.”
“Alexa, play <artist/playlist/track> on Spotify.”
“Alexa, play Amazon Music/Spotify/iHeart
Radio/Deezer/Kindle/Audible/TuneIn/Pandora/SiriusXM."

Navigation and Charging
“Alexa, navigate to SFO.”
“Alexa, search nearby coffee shop.”
“Alexa, search nearby charging stations.”
“Alexa, what’s my ETA?”

Phone and Communication
“Alexa, call Mom.”
“Alexa, hang up.”

Alexa Skills
“Alexa, what’s the weather?”
“Alexa, set a timer/alarm.”
“Alexa, who’s Tony Stark?”
“Alexa, play Song Quiz.”

Personal Assistance
“Alexa, add <item> to my reminder.”
“Alexa, add <item> to my shopping list.”
“Alexa, add <item> to my to-do list.”
“Alexa, add <event> to my calendar.”

The lowest fan speed is still too fast (noisy) with the AC or heat turned off, there is still fairly good airflow coming out of the vents. Why can’t the fan be turned off or almost completely off and still feed some heat or AC. I can appreciate the fact that it needs to move some air over the coils, but both heating level and fan speed could be reduced down as needed.

I hate audio controls on the right side of the wheel on any car, if you're using your right hand for audio controls just use the console, IMHO.

Also it just makes sense with our setup, having the right hand take care of all the Driving controls as the stalk is on the right has cruise control on/off, so the buttons on the right control speed and follow distance.

I suppose it could be done in heat mode, but it would be problematic in AC mode. As you mentioned, AC needs a minimum air flow. Otherwise, the evaporator coil can freeze up (not good) and/or liquid refrigerant can be returned to the compressor (really bad).
