Waving makes me happy. When others wave back, that's a bonus.

I always wave but have been really disappointed with the lack of responses I get. Being in Arizona, everyone having tint is definitely a factor but, when passing head on just seeing those unique headlights offers ample opportunity to give a wave. Just do it. It'll do no one any harm.

I don't even bother with R1S drivers. 95% of the time they don't wave back. In the early days every single R1T driver would wave back but thats also fizzled and I get a wave back about half the time.

I have noticed the same in Minneapolis. As R1S sightings have increased in 2024, waver/winkers have decreased. R1T drivers will still wave or wink about half the time now but also seems to have declined from the early days. I have an early Gen 1 R1T and have been waving since 2022. Still waving. Love my truck

If you are in an R1T or an R1S and happen to see a silver R1S with Nevada plates with a mom and her little dudes waving at you, please consider waving back. My 4 and 8-year-old boys are in love with our Rivian and are so eager to make this a “Rivian thing.” Gotta love ‘em! See you on the road ??
