Wondering what could make people drop their preorder now that we've got some reviews.
Trying to add all the concerns I've seen in the reviews and people talking about Rivian.

I didn't add the classic no AA, CP or XM since by now we know they aren't going to offer it anytime soon.

I wouldn’t cancel my preorder regardless of the above stated strictly because this is a one of a kind vehicle currently…. You can see what I’m implying

My reason isn't listed, but a price increase that applies to current pre-orders would be enough to make me drop, or, at the very least, wait out to see other options coming to market.

Not listed, but would have me seriously consider other options:

1. Price increase
2. Reduction/elimination of tax credit
3. No good solution for Apple Music streaming (need a 1st class app on the infotainment screen -- basic Bluetooth streaming is NOT an acceptable solution)

Price increase.

Edit: I’ll add that the longer it takes my preorder to fill and so long as price stays constant, I’m more likely to convert. Our cars are in good shape and have a lot of life left, so any downward price movement makes a luxury purchase easier to justify.

I didn't add streaming options since by now I think we all know that we are getting Spotify from the get go, HD radio, and only getting bluetooth options. Who knows how long before they give us more options for music/entertainment.

All of the test vehicles have been on 20's with the off-road package, so not sure why you'd include the possibility of that only getting 4' 0-60 time.

Quality.

I can put up with delays because I have a car LOL. But if this thing proves to be super buggy, then I’ll question if it’s worth the inconvenience.

Trim coming loose, failure to start when asked, charging problems, knobs falling off, etc. I remember American cars in the 80s and will never go back to that kind of poor build quality.

That's the one "brightside" spin I put on the fact my Max pack reservation won't be getting a guide contact for a loooong time. Maybe Rivian will do what they need to do (which isn't much, honestly) to get my money. But if they make me wait another year AND they can't give me a better music experience than a 2008 Nissan then I'll probably end up in the Ford or GMC.

I WANT the Rivian. But I need my daily use case to be well addressed, otherwise I'll have serious regrets.

Noone has actually measured the time. They all say feels fast and could be 3 sec, but just by looking at the videos seems closer to 4s since traction starts affecting the time.
Really curious how noone brought anything to measure it...
Personally, this is probably good news for people not getting the extra weight of the offroad package and the street tires.

Not planning on dropping my place in line. Hoping Rivian will let me delay my order if I'm not satisfied with the state of X/Y/Z when my number comes up, though.

I just recently purchased another vehicle because I had hoped I would have had the R1T by now. Now I'm not in as big of a hurry to get it. I still want it, but waiting isn't killing me like it had been.

I might reconfigure from LE to the max pack. I might push my order out even farther if they haven't released the design intent for the open-air roof. It could end up being awesome, but it also could end up not. At this point I might want to wait it out.
