That's really unfortunate. It's a shame that they could never quite get it together.

I do hope that we get to see the inner workings of them however, sorta how they're tearing down the Arrival vans on Youtube now.

I hate to hear that. I thought it was a very cool vehicle that could have found a niche to flourish in.

Tesla, Scout, etc do peak my interest but, sorry to say Canoo never did anything for me. I didn't hate it or like it. Sort of indifferent to it.

The ID made a lotta buzz zooming down the hi way leaving Canoo in the stream to sink.
Agree it woulda been a go to addition to the livery.
Any of you visionaries have a take on Aptera?
We bought into the accelerator leaderboard 2 years after our ‘21 orders.

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.

I love the concept and design of Aptera, but they’re struggling to get funding as well. They’ve already gone bankrupt once after people were brought in to save them. Then the original founders bought the rights to everything and started again.

According to several EV YouTubers who saw the production intent Aptera at CES they’re still really far behind and need more money for testing. One of them even claimed that the CEO said they won’t have ABS on the final production model and that they weren’t required to add it because it’s a three-wheeled vehicle.

I personally think that $40K for a 2-seater that is estimated to go 400 miles, hasn’t been crash tested, and isn’t required to have certain safety features is a risky proposition.

I requested a refund on my $100 deposit a few months ago. To my great surprise, they sent it back quickly with no fuss.
