I understand where you're coming from, but this forum represents a minute fraction of nation wide Rivian owners. It's been said many, many times before that happy owners don't post about their experiences (in most cases), but unhappy ones do. So, yes you do see people posting here about issues, but they represent a tiny fraction of happy Rivian owners. The silent majority are content with their Rivians.
Bay Area owners CONSTANTLY complain about horrible SC experiences - mostly having to go multiple times to fix something SC claimed was fixed, and 12 week+ waiting times.

This forum is wild to me. I constantly see posts complaining about various issues, failures, and problems on their Rivian. Every month is a new thread complaining about service centers being backed up months to get an appointment to get anything fixed. Then as soon as any media organization claims Rivian has low reliability, Rivian owners grab their pitchforks and mob together.
Right. But when CR says that Rivian is tops in customer satisfaction, all of a sudden there aren’t any complaints.

Can't argue with that, but the CR list is regarding "reliability".

Hopefully, Rivian will start to take notice of the "ease of scheduling a service visit" score in the Overall Satisfaction" ratings polls we see out all the time.

I myself had a R1T for two years and never a single problem. I guess I should consider myself very fortunate if I use CR as a guide because I have a 2024 Wrangler since Oct and not a single issue with it either even though it's near the bottom of the list.
In the past 10 years, I’ve put 300,000 miles on Ram and JEEP products. Never a single issue. Literally. Actually take that back. I had a speed sensor issue on a wheel on a truck one time. Meanwhile, I know numerous Ford people with vehicles in the shop for literally months.

Knock on wood, no Rivian or Tesla problems after close to 30,000 miles.

..

What would be the upside to arguing against that rating on a RIVIAN forum?

Not trying to be mean, but just keeping it real....
lol I know. I’m just saying, either CR ratings are worthless or they are helpful. They can’t only be helpful if they say nice things ?

^ that's certainly great to hear! After seeing so many negative posts about Jeep in general and the 4xe in particular on various forums, I really felt like I was taking a chance buying my Jeep. Many here gave me a lot of grief when I bought it, but it's been great so far with no issues, and it's a blast to drive.

Most here usually indicate they consider CR ratings useless. There are many reasons, but the first thing that usually comes up is their small sample sizes in some cases and how a few unhappy (or in this case happy) responders can considerably skew the results to look better or worse then they actually are.

Same experience here. The Jeep’s and Rams we’ve owned have been near flawless.

To your point the people that have issues on this forum are even a small percent of the forum member base of around 2300 which is a small percent of actual owners.

An example of the numbers, if 230 people on this forum have reported major issues that is only 10% of the for um members. The forum members are only about 2.5% of actual owners, assuming they have only delivered 100k vehicles.

I’m pretty sure the delivery number of R1s is over 100k as the latest R1S VIN we see reported on the forum is around 66,600, that is pretty recent and the latest R1T I see reported on the forum is around 26,800 but that is from back in late 2023.

I replaced a 2014 Jeep GC Overland with my Rivian, had a transmission issue in the first week owning that Jeep but we went on to have that vehicle for 10 years over 120k miles with no other issues. That includes no air suspension issues over that time.
