Some great news on the referrals. A new member here discovered that Rivian is now allowing referral codes on custom orders (despite not updating the terms on their website). I'll confirm here after both of us have our rewards and charging post to our accounts.

I just wanted to tag along this thread instead of creating a new thread. I got my referral points and was so excited to use it, to find out that there are many things I can’t use it for.

originally I wanted to use it on Full size spare kit, but they told me I can’t. Because it’s considered service items. ( personally I tihink it’s a bunch of BS)
2nd choice was air compressor,I can’t get it because CA doesn’t allow it..GREAAAAT!

So I complain to the customer relation person?‘and they said sorry but not sorry, we can’t help you… LOL
I said:”can you elevate this feedback up the chain”?this is ridiculous

So now I know the rewards can only be used to buy stuff I don’t want to wear or only on gadgets…

I endure decicing cross bar is the only thing worth anything…

Still Love my car….slightly disappointed owner sigh…..

Yeah the gear shop is pretty lame. We have about 1,500 points and really don't want/need a rooftop tent.

just a short vent: I am disappointed in the referral program also. I helped a good friend choose a R1S after she was impressed with my R1T. The purchase was made back in December and she gave the sales person my referral code. It seems it was not properly recorded before the vehicle delivery, so I did not get my points. She did receive her points, which is what makes the Service Rep's story so odd. Issue escalated, and after three calls, got the "Sorry" email.

Lesson: if you do find value in the program (something you want in their offerings) be explicit about getting the code to the sales person (before delivery) and into the system. Don't expect it to just happen. sigh.

I forgot about the travel kitchen. My wife already has a couple induction plates that were about $40 each and pack nicely. That travel kitchen is a $1,400 behemoth.
