Hey Rivian gang,

I'm not officially a part of the club yet, but after getting scooped on a few good R1Ts in my area, I decided to order one from rivian sight unseen.

I missed out on the original launch of the truck because I was holding out for CT..... Well, what feels like 20 years later CT is finally available but when I compare the 22 quad large R1T and the dual motor CT value wise, I just couldn't convince myself that CT was a better deal. (Especially after being jerked around for years by Tesla with the price, availability and options)

You won't catch me hating on the truck or the brand, though, just wasn't in the cards for me. I'm still loving the X though, so that won't be going anywhere.

So I placed the order 3 days ago. Took like 2 days to get a call from a delivery person, I knocked out all my docs right away but it looks like they're still getting it ready. I got an appointment for pickup on April 10! Super excited, although that feels like a while to pickup a used truck, I'm going to assume they're just making it perfect lol

I do have a couple questions for anyone who has bought used from rivian before though.

Do you get all the normal accessories? Like the mobile charger, NACS adapter, cable lock, etc?

They don't really let me see any of the specs anymore after I ordered, but for those curious, it's the glacier white adventure quad with large battery, powered tonneau. The comprehensive warranty is good until Jan 2028 which is really what helped me pull the trigger. It has like 22k miles on it. Only downside is it's rocking the 21s (hopefully good tread)

I already ordered some accessories but I am trying to hold off to see what it comes with lol. It's weird ordering a used vehicle with never seeing it.

Congrats. I hope you got a great deal. I haven't seen many white ones and I think the color looks great.

When I looked when I bought mine used about 6 months ago, Rivian wanted 10k more than I paid and with more miles.

Good luck with your new truck. I hope you love it.

As for accessories, I doubt you'll get a NACS adaptor but you might get lucky. I'd check with your guide and ask them to be certain. It seems like you should get the other stuff.

Nice, the gen 1 R1Ts are phenomenal vehicles, especially at preorder or resale pricing. I’ve seen them in the low 50’s and that’s a huge bargain for what you get. They aren’t perfect, but nothing else on the market even remotely compares for the price.

No accessories needed IMO even after years of backwoods camping adventures other than the crossbars. You can find aftermarket versions for a fraction of the cost of the Rivian ones (which are great at the original cost of $450 but probably not worth $700+ depending on color choose). Buying aftermarket actually allows better accessories since the Rivian ones are ridiculously wide.

Jack pucks and a proper floor jack are the only other thing you might need. Bottle jacks are a little sketchy due to the massive ground clearance in tire change mode.

It was listed for just under 60k with 22k miles and huge warranty left. They had one with twice as many miles for 55k but that one was getting close to that 60k miles

I think I'll probably get running boards for the littles to get in but otherwise it's all cosmetic stuff lol like black emblems and whatnot.

I can't wait!! April 10 can't come soon enough

I bought a used R1T over a year ago, great vehicle. Congratulations you’ll enjoy it. find out where your service center is and anything wrong make an appointment as fast as possible. The wait for service is getting better, but just connect with them and it should be smooth sailing. Get a Tesla adapter too, that will make long trips easier.

Yea, I'm hoping it comes with the NACS adapter. But we'll see. Luckily the service center is only a few minutes from my house.

Closer than my Tesla one

Oh nice! How much did that run you? I was looking for a dual motor, but I am glad for the quad too

Congrats! I bought a '22 LE quad R1T from a former Rivian employee almost 2 years ago. It had 21K miles on it, but very, very low VIN so it has all the stuff, like 12v connections in the frunk and under the dash. I'm at 56K miles on it already, all from adventuring around. Best vehicle and first EV that I've owned. You're gonna love it!

Congrats, I just went through this same process on a pre owned through Rivian. The only accessories guaranteed are a single physical key, mobile charger and torch flashlight. With that said, mine came with both nfc, the fob and all accessories except for the gear cable. Basically it’s dependent on whatever the last owner turned it in with. The guide was no help with confirming, it wasn’t until inspection that they even knew what accessories it had. I would not expect a nacs adapter to come with it but you never know..

Once financing went through and they pulled down payments I requested an earlier pickup date, ended up picking it up a week early.

Congratulations! I too purchased a pre owned R1T. It's a sub 5k vin so it's needed a few service center visits but rivian has always done a good job and it's my favorite vehicle I've ever owned.

Congrats! I just got a used R1S LE from a dealer in Virginia. Drives like it’s new. We also have a Gen2 Dual Standard R1T for regular truck things and that’s my daily driver. The T is such a utility jack of all trades vehicle, we love it. Enjoy!

How did you go about requesting it? The text number doesn't work for me. You just called?
